That really is an EXCELLENT fan! I have 3 of them. I bought them because at the lower speeds they ARE quiet. I have had them for maybe 5-6 years, and not a problem with any of them. STRONGLY RECOMMENDED! I just noticed, mine seem to be the model before those, but basically the same, quiet, 5 speed.

Thanks very much! I've been stuck and staring at my Honeywell Fan for weeks because I thought the plastic piece on the back grille was an integral part of the fan, so I've been afraid to take it off... I might break the whole thing. So, I just removed it - with pliers - my fingers aren't that strong. And now I have it all assembled and working just fine. I'm so relieved and happy. Thank you for the instructions. I have two questions. 1) my fan's rod (? is that how you described the part in your video?) sticking through the shaft is not equally aligned to both sides (fig 8 in the manual). I mean the small pins on the shaft are sticking out unequally, so one side of the small slots at the rear end of the fan is just about covered by the pin/rod, whereas the other side is more than covered by it. Is that normal? Or shouldn't it be and is it an anomaly? 2) my ventilator has a small screw instead of a fifth locking clip at the top. So there are 4 locking clips and 1 small screw (at the top) instead of 5 locking clips. Is that how it should be? I would be really helped with your answer. Many thanks.
@heliflyer7
3 жыл бұрын
You're welcome! Yes, the rod (pins) should stick out equally. If they don't, try pushing the one that's shorter in (not too far) and let it spring out a few times, with a small, blunt object. A pencil eraser or something of that nature. It's possible there's a small burr on it or it's misaligned just enough to not allow it to fully release. Not sure why the screw is there instead of the clip. If it will allow you to fasten the two halves together using it, that would be fine. Hope this helps!

If I put in the order the bolt, then the washer then the base and the pole: it doesn't fit because the bolt touch the floor so the base is not stable. So in my case i needed this order : bolt>base>washer>pole. Is it normal?

@@heliflyer7 for me this configuration is not possible, like I said, the bolt is too long and not enough inside the base if I let the normal position of the washer. And so impossible to stay stable because the bolt, in the middle, touch the floor. It"s longer than the socle. So maybe I missed something. my solution was to inverse the position of the washer on the bolt. What I did is to put the washer to the other side of the bolt ... but it's strange .
