I love the way you always mention an alternative when you think an ingredient or kitchen gadget might be hard to come by. This shows you care which I think is the most important ingredient for any representation! Thank you Mandy, you are slowly turning me into an expert!

That is why she is giving this recipe so you can learn how to cook. You can do it just try. I learned how to cook when I was 5 years old because parent had to work late. My first thing I ever cook was barbecue rice. What is barbecue rice you asked? I burn the pot of steamed rice because I didn’t add enough water I was only five. But I learned. Now I can American dishes, Chinese, Italian, French and Indian dishes. So if I can learn how to cook you can too. Go for it. You will impress your friends when they asked you what restaurant did you brought this from.👍

Mandy, many years ago in New York City, I enjoyed 'beef with tea sauce'... it was served with spinach. It had such a distinctive brown sauce, and I loved it. I haven't seen it since. Have you heard of it? Perhaps it was just the invention of the chef. This recipe reminds me of it!!

I love making Chinese food, and I love sauces with peanut butter. i have yet to ever see a recipe that combines the two until today! This is definitely happening within the week. I don't think Im going to be able to get satay sauce though. Hopefully if I find a recipe it can be homemade.

This satay sauce is at least a couple hundred yrs old... but in most other countries, uses .rice vermicelli instead of noodles.. satay itself is just bbq meat done on sticks. This cannot be created in Hong Kong... hehe.... dont ask me where .... heated debate over this from where I'm from. Singapore.

Shrimp paste is one of those things that seems wrong just smelling plain, but is awesome when mixed into a dish at the right level. I bet you don't eat spoonfuls of vinegar or black pepper or garlic or chile paste either, but you probably use them in your cooking all the time. You can learn to control strong ingredients - start with tiny amounts that you can't even detect, then slowly increase until you can and get to the right levels.
