Props to that brother for being man enough to admit his faults and speak the truth.

Notice what that dude said at the end. He said the lames will hold you down. He's basically admitting the only reason they understand the lames is because the hood cats want their help.

I have a certain family member who was/is one of these guys with a "name" (infamy) in certain crazy parts of the city. We've had this convo many times. He would say that bravery isn't crime, fighting, killing, and running blocks--that bravery is being yourself and not caving to the environment. He became "that dude" because he was bullied and abused as a child (foster care/runaway). He started off having to fight and moved on to having to shoot. And he knows he shouldn't be here and he shouldn't have anything that he has. He beat the game, but he tells me every time we link up that he respects guys like me because I didn't play the game. We didn't really connect until later in life or else I could have been caught up in his web as a young man. But at this point, all of the things that he's done are eating his soul.

@@TavarusSqD-UP Sure of course, it’s always been there but just as soon as it comes up…. it goes back to the old talking points. I’m talking decades. It actually dovetails into how we celebrate “hood” culture. This runs deep too. Even educated, academic people do this all the way to our creative culture, as can be seen with current HipHop…if that what it can be called today.

@@Blacktsalagi73 my challenge is to create content in this digital media landscape that will oppose the "Buffoonery" that is consuming the nation in general and black descendants of slaves in particular. My reasoning is, this is where the people are, this arena is where they are "feeding". There needs to be close to half a million black men speaking creating solid stand up content about righteousness. #SQUARED UP LIFESTYLE

4:11 in psychology it seems like your explaining nature vs nurture. Anyone can be raised and have such bad circumstances that the outcome is obvious. Man the older I get the more the way I think changes.
