nail biter of a battle, amazing performance in general. also I feel like Levi never falls lol. Pretty sure he had a flawless run at vertigo as well.

Still cant understand why most ppl said that levi should've win it, i think ' last combo is more interesting cuz there are alot of variety and also really powerful, not Many ppl can do shurikane, and its much interesting than just a normal swing through combo without any variation on it, im not saying that levi's last trick is easy, but zen still deserve that 3rd place

Easily the best battle of the night, I’d argue Levi took the third round

The thing is that as judges we were also taking into account repetition to a certain extent. We agreed this beforehand. Levi did only triple cork enders and 2 of them were from g-switch. Also, Zen did a triple full hyperhook and shurikane in same combo which is madness to me. Deserved win for Zen in my opinion but you guys can have whatever opinion 🙂👍

@@johzuke1 Ah right that makes perfect sense now. On it’s on I felt that a dub dub swing chain to trip c was more difficult but Zens shurikane finisher brought something new to the table and was very close in difficulty

@@johzuke1 Definitely. Each judge had their own preference and things they were looking for. Zen brought a lot of variety to the table if at the expense of "intricate transitions" and Levi maintained extremely difficult and very smooth transitions in each pass but lacked variety. It was ultimately variety and volume that led the first few rounds of battles. Later on it became a matter of gas in the tank but that's mostly due to the random seeding creating such a power heavy beginning.

Levi should of won the second round. Zen's Double Full-In was massive, but he needed to link it with another skill to account for Levi's 3-0-3. Levi was also cleaner than Zen was.

Sesh ? I agree with you but Zen took r1 IMO. I made an analysis breakdown due to all the comments in Levi's favour.

@TrickingBattles Here's my evaluation of Zen's 1st Round: 1) he didn't BS14, I counted a Double Full Hyperhook, 2) he didn't Triple Full Snapu, the "swipe" was non-existent, so I counted it as a Triple Full. I think the problem of "bluring the lines" is what's occurring here. Zen is a pretty strong tumbler out of cartwheel, and the way he twists makes his "fulls" and "backside spins" indistinguishable from each other on occasion. It's possible that he intended it to be a BS14, but because he doesn't control his exit from Envergado, and rips his twists right off the floor (instead of setting upwards before turning); instead of staying mostly upright, he begins inverting as if he's tumbling...because he is. What makes combinations with various different skills difficult, is that each skill requires a different technique to perform...and sometimes, the momentum from one skill can disrupt the execution of another. So you have to get off the gas, and finesse certain things to keep each skill distinguishable from each other. This is what gives combinations their technical difficulty. What Zen has done, he has made his "pull" for Full Variations and Backside Variations the same (or too identical). It's hurting him. You can see it in the 3rd Round as well, his lines are terrible -- he's all over the place. He's making it through because he's muscling it. Thanks for the reply btw 👍

@@3rdCoastAlliance You're 100% about how lines are blurred these days. It's easier to topple vert kicks in order to make the landings more secure by inverting them. It's way more technically difficult to maintain upright vertical posture in moves such as 14. And yeah in some cases the lines people draw in their combos are compromised in order to keep momentum but they lose neatness and order. Some people even go around in circles now adays, which I'm not a fan of. I prefer all tricks to be shown directly to me. Sesh, I dont know much about the generation that came before you. Who would you say of the inventors of the sport, was the best battler? This would be in the 80s era i'm talking about. I speculate Danny Graham might turn out to be the top battler from the 90s era into 2000s. Not overall best tricker, but specifically I think he may be the champ battler. What do you think?

Not in my opinion. The thing is that as judges we were also taking into account repetition to a certain extent. We agreed this beforehand. Levi did only triple cork enders and two of them were from g-switch. Last pass is debateable but to me Zen took it in the end. Which one is harder is debateable and people will have different opinions for sure which is all right 🙂👍
