Materials From the Video
Below are the cables and adapters mentioned in the video. If you use my Amazon affiliate links to buy something I get a little extra money and it doesn't cost you more than it would normally on Amazon. However, it shouldn't be difficult to get these materials anywhere online or at your local electronics retailer.
- HDMI to Composite Converter www.amazon.com...
This is the brains of the operation. It takes the HDMI signal from your player/computer/etc and turns it into an analog signal that your television can understand. It's sort of a like a monitor without the screen. So, the final screen resolution (1080p, 4k, etc.) and aspect ratio (4:3, 16:9, etc.) will be determined by whatever the resolution and aspect ration of this little converter box. You will need a Mini-USB cable and a 5v USB wall adapter (like your phone's USB plug) to power it. The HDMI to Composite Converter linked in this post has worked well for me on my TVs.
- HDMI Cable amzn.to/3welpbN
- USB-C to HDMI Adapter amzn.to/2TukTcu
- Composite Cables amzn.to/3hxJswW
- Composite to BNC Adapter amzn.to/2V2YL9B
This is an affordable way to connect composite cables to BNC connectors. You could spend more money for cables with BNC connectors but I don't think it's necessary.
- RF Modulator Basic (channels 3 or 4) amzn.to/3hivzEl
These can be found cheaper at thrift stores and they usually work fine.
- RF Modulator Advanced (more channel options) amzn.to/3wecmb5
If you want more channels to connect to besides 3 or 4, this is a great RF modulator.
- Coaxial 3.5mm (headphone style) adapter amzn.to/3dyZ8Pu
- Coaxial Cable amzn.to/3wed3kH
- Matching Transformer amzn.to/3xrptqR
