Jed, ex Stoke City Firm, talks about going toe to toe with the opposition. I personally would like to go toe to toe with Jed., and teach him a lessons he would never forget. In fact I would not have to fight him. All I would need to do would be to invite him to my martial arts club for one session and see how long he would last. People like him need discipline and when they step out of line, a good hammering.

@RobRoyBoaz
10 жыл бұрын
I agree with you. Spot on ! But only up to a point. There is absolutely no guarantee that the run of the mill martial artist will be able to defeat a good street fighter. Correct ! However, it does depend on a whole lot of things. Age. Personality of the fighters. Aptitude. Fitness. State of mind. A black belt really only signifies a level of competence in the martial art concerned. It means that the student has attained a level of knowledge and does not necessarily make him or her a good fighter outside of the confines of the art. It also depends on the martial art itself. I teach a specific style to military, police and certain civilians. It is not designed with certain rules in the dojo. It has been designed for a specific purpose, which I really should not mention online, but which I am sure you can figure out for yourself. Most soccer hooligans are cowards. They hide behind large crowds, yet they think themselves hard men.. I would challenge any of the top men to come to my classes. I guarantee you they would not last five minutes. The black belt you mentioned deserved what he got. His ego got in the way. I personally walk away from trouble. Unless there is no option. I tell my civilian students to do the same.
@RobRoyBoaz

Nope. Not at all. And I don't ever recall having said that.
@RobRoyBoaz
10 жыл бұрын
dennislions1 I am not sure if you are talking to me here. My response however goes back to what I said in my previous posting about how a fight between a trained martial artist and a street fighter depends on a whole lot of issues. The same applies re. a MMA fighter. You make it sound that MMA is the bee - all and end - all of martial arts. A lot of the pure martial arts to be found in the East are not taught in the West, because they are straight from the ancient battlefield, and many of the Oriental Masters do not wish to pass on that kind of knowledge. MMA again, is a discipline, but its weakness is the reliance on a number of disciplines, thereby dissipating each of the disciplines in question. Also the media hype surrounding MMA has created a perception in the minds of most people that it is the pinnacle of martial arts, which it is not.

I'm quite surprised they haven't yet been employing their new toys at these "events," the sound cannons. No one fucks with those things, and there's no escaping it, either. If you're in the vicinity of a directional sound cannon you're going to get smacked with it, and it completely shuts the crowds down - immediately. They wouldn't need even half the cops they do the way they're doing it now. And I'm really disappointed to see the cops subjecting dogs and horses to this shit, too. That one crowd there was throwing things at the horses, and I've seen people kicking at the dogs. The cops should know better than to put their animals in the path of these idiots.

Always been a mystery to why football hooligans still have passports. Explain that to the wife and kids when they want you to take them to Disneyland.

A friend of mine used to be a bouncer at MVV Maastricht and I asked him about why it is that football fans aren't united by the love of the game but by the love for one club and that one club only, which results in so much violence between them and other fans. His reply was "No reason, it's just the way it is."

@@ajaxfantv2658 Dus volgens jouw standaards zou Ajax dus ook een amateur club zijn. Denk daar maar eens over na.
