MATERIALS:
Canvas: 16x20 stretched primed canvas
Brushes: #12 flat brush, #10 round, #2 round brush
Acrylic Paint: titanium white, cobalt blue, burnt umber (brown), fire red, deep yellow, fluorescent green, fluorescent purple, mars black
Other: palette, cup of water for washing brushes, paper towel for drying brushes
STEPS:
1. #12 flat brush - Paint the sky with clue and white
2. #10 round brush - Paint the branches with black, brown and white
3. #10 round brush - Paint first layer of the owns with brown
4. #12 flat brush - Paint the leaves with yellow, green and white
5. #2 round brush - Paint the first layer of the eyes and beak with black
6. #10 round brush - Paint the feathers with brown and white
7. #2 round brush - Paint the hats with black, white, purple, blue, yellow and red
8. #2 round brush - Paint the feet and beaks with yellow and white
9. #2 round brush - Finish the eyes with blue, green, purple and white
10. #2 round brush - Paint the tie and hat design with red
11. #2 round brush - Signature with black

OWL SUGAR COOKIES:
Prep: 15 mins Cook: 10 mins
Ingredients:
2 ¾ cups all-purpose flower
1 teaspoon baking soda
½ teaspoon baking powder
1 cup butter, softened
1 ½ cups white sugar
1 egg
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Directions:
1 - Preheat oven to 375 degrees. In small bowl, stir together flour, baking soda, and baking powder.
2 - In a large bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until smooth. Beat in egg and vanilla. Gradually blend in the dry ingredients.
3 - Roll rounded teaspoonfuls of dough into balls, and place onto ungreased cookie sheets, pat the ball until it’s almost flat, then cut out owl shapes.
4 - Bake 8 to 10 minutes in the preheated oven, or until golden. Let stand on cookie sheet two minutes before removing to cool on wire racks.
