Was waiting on these parts before doing this video. Originally I thought I was just going to mount the 366 to the Inline Fabrication plate and then attach the plate to the mobile press stand. Then I went poking around online again.
In the back of my mind, I was trying to think how I'd address the finished hull ejection process. I've seen others cut holes in their benches for a tube or bin solution. I'm not going to be using my bench for the 366 and even if I was, I don't think I'd be cutting a hole in the bench. I got to thinking of different ways to address the potential problem of hulls falling from the back of the mobile press stand to where. Started mentally toying with the idea of making something that attaches to the mobile stand.
Then I stumbled on something someone handmade (LOVE homemade/handmade solutions that solve my issues!). These aluminum "I" bars were cut to the width of the 366 press and holes drilled to match the press. My idea was to find something to raise the press so that I could place a bin under the press to catch the finished hulls while the press was on the mobile stand. These seemed like they would work, solid and lightweight. They remind me of my custom riser I have for my LCT...same red too.
The only problem with them was the specific red. It is too Lee or fire engine red. Hornady's red is darker and the press has a hammer tone finish with specs of black. No way for me to replicate that (maybe once I retire), so I did the next best thing. I found the closest red to Hornady in a spray can. Picked up some primer and my plan is to make the aluminum risers match the 366 press as closely as I can.
