A staple of the Tri-ang, then Tri-ang Hornby, then just Hornby lineup has been the 0-4-0 locomotive. Small locomotive models are reasonably inexpensive and allow people to enter the hobby. With this in mind, small locomotive models are probably important for more toy/model train companies than just Hornby.
Regarding the box for the blue locomotive, I think it originally belonged to a Nellie version of this loco. I noticed when reviewing the video that the instructions in the box were dated 1 August, 1972. (Represented by the number 010872, which is briefly visible when I first pull the sheet out of the box.) This date corresponds to the last year Nellie was available and explains why there was a Nellie name tag in the box. It also jives better with the price of £2.90, about $18 in 1972. Since both this locomotive and Nellie had the same catalogue number, it would be easy to make that mistake.
The models featured in this video are:
R.355 0-4-0 Industrial Tank Locomotive (Blue)
R.455 0-4-0 Industrial Tank Locomotive (Red)
R.077 0-4-0 Tank Locomotive No. 101 (GWR Green). In 1980 the catalogue number was changed to R.333
R.232 Operating Ore Wagon (Consett Iron Co.)
R.219 4-Wheeled Coach, Caledonian Livery
R.208 G.W.R. Shunters Wagon
R.211 Shell Lubricating Oil Tank Wagon, Yellow
The controller was a Hammant & Morgan Ltd. Safety Minor.
