How to confuse a German: take down place signs How to confuse an American: put them back

A bit like when some Anericans stationed in parts if the UK wanted the local pubs to segragate based on race so white American soldiers could drink alone. Me 50 years later. Plan was to invade the National Maritime Museum in Greenwich. The stations names had been already put up again in the meantime. But the carriages had been still similar - each seating bay had its own slam door. Without the help of fellow passengers I would have not made it. Thus me while watching this scene: no - this German ain't a German. As a German he would never have made it out of this type of carriage that fast. Not even 50 years earlier (as even back than this type of carriages didn't exist anymore in Germany).

They were being bombed, had shortages leading to rations which didn't lift until 1953, they were scared for their loved ones drafted and sent to fight in Africa and the middle east and many families in the cities were divided as their children were sent to the countryside.
