If he didn't get injured and they kept him on the grass he would of been the best horse ever..

The better Grade 1 winners in SA win with a Longines rating of around 115lbs, making them around 15lbs inferior to Winx. This Met win was easily a 126-128lb rating which would place Horse Chestnut slightly inferior to Winx and slightly better than Variety Club. There is no doubt though that he would have been better at 4 so topping 130lb on a Longines scale was not impossible had he raced on beyond the Broward.

This should be vid "part 03" @justie: oh hell no! Horse Chestnut absolutely should've headed overseas - he was wasting his time & talent in SA. What should have never happened was him being retired to stud in America - a complete sell out by those Oppenheimer's - now THAT'S when he should've come back home.
