Correct me if I am wrong, but horses have 4 types of locomotion, walk, trot, canter and gallop. In wild west movies, horses are galloped for hours, when in reality they struggle to do a mile in a gallop. For long distance purposes, they would canter and could do 20 to 30 miles a day, and one must remember that this was the only way to transfer news before the 19th century.

This is excellent thank you!!! It’s so helpful being able to see is slowed down yet still be anatomically relevant to compare with actual horses. Thank you ☺️
