The north side of Raven Rock State Park hosts seven miles of trails for horseback riding. Despite the often relaxed appearance of riders, exploring trails on horseback is an exercise in cardio, core strength and mental stamina. Horse and rider work in tandem, physically and mentally, as they traverse the varying terrain of this state park.
Funding for Ten to Try is provided by the PATH Initiative and the North Carolina Department of Natural and Cultural Resources.
