In this episode, Rhys is in Sekinchan, Selangor Malaysia in his mission to try an unconventional and unique menu - horseshoe crab..
The horseshoe crab is a salt water animal that can also be found living in fresh water. They are easy to catch in the coastal areas, and can often be found in abundance on beaches throughout the region.
The horseshoe crab is a marine arthropod whose body resembles a "steel helmet", it is also recognisable by its long and sharp "tail". Horseshoe crabs can reach sizes up to 51 cm (20 inches).
There is a local idiom which translates roughly to "like a horseshoe crab". This refers to a couple who always stay together wherever they go - the reason being that in the wild horseshoe crabs are almost always found in pairs of male and female.
Local legend also says that ghosts/spirits are afraid of the horseshoe crab, because of its long and sharply pointed tail.
There is a small restaurant in the village of Sekinchan called "Faridah Mentarang Bakar" which serves the horseshoe crab in a variety of different dishes such as curries, cooked in coconut sauce and also BBQ.
But what does it taste like? Watch the video and see Rhys' reaction...
