Amazing video. Exactly what I have been looking for. Any more info about CPU cores and RAM, etc? Maybe you can make a follow-up video with more numbers. In the comments, I read about the doubts about hosting an e-commerce store. It's hard to believe the speed is the same no matter which plan, so maybe you could go more in detail?
@Emit.Reviews
3 жыл бұрын
I host an e-commerce shop on the business plan. But it's kinda small (10 products) ~ 1000 monthly visits. It works more than okay. Speaking about CPU and RAM, Hostinger actually uses modern CPUs for their servers since they're quite a new comapny in general. That's where the speed comes from, because companies from 1995 usually use old CPUs from that era in their cheap plans, and newer ones on their more expensive plans. But if all your CPUs are from the 2013-2020 era it doesn't impact speed that much. In general, if you're serious about your e-commerce store there are better options than Hostinger (like Nexcess for example. Because you get a lot of free e-commerce related plugins for free). But if you're just looking for a cheap host for a small-medium store Hostinger is enough.

I'm tempted to put woo commerce on the shared premium...is this crazy? Considering I don't anticipate 70 shoppers at the same time anytime soon, what do you think?

Hostinger gave me the run around, would not accept payment no matter what I did. It would say payment blocked but not tell me what to do. After making an account and being logged in, another window popped up to submit payment and NOWHERE to enter the discount code. So at the end I loose a few dollars and you loose your percentage. Wouldn't even accept an AOL email to sign up..... Hopefully this is not another one of those sites that get recommended because of the commission and in reality suck.

I have the business web hosting plan, but am noticing long server response times of 2 seconds on some of my pageinsight tests. The business sharred hosting plan comes with Disk Space 200 GB RAM 1536 MB - CPU Cores 2. I'm wounndering if upgrading to the cloud startup hosting would lower my server response time?

It might also have to do something with the CSS/JS of your theme. Best way to test if its the host or your template is to create a new website with a basic (well coded) template like Astra or Blocksy and do a test to see if the issue persists. If you notice a severe speedup, that means your theme needs optimizing and switching hosts wont have a huge impact. If you notice that the new theme is still slow, then its 100% host issue and upgrading would help.

With 400k users no shared hosting will be good. There's no plan with enough resources. You would need a VPS, check out ScalaHosting. I have videos about them on my channel and you can get a discount using emit.reviews/go/scalahosting-2021 use code emit2021

I personally wouldn't use it. I would go for a more scalable solution down the line. Since their professional plan renews for $40. For that price you can get better performance for sure. AWS, google cloud or azure if you want unmanaged services. Liquidweb or scalahosting for managed services.

Thank you for the amazing content you provide. I have been looking (😪Research.) into reselling, and find myself watching (😁And "Liking") many of your videos along the way. I have compared several reseller plans across many providers, 😂several times. I had my choice narrowed down to A2, when I heard about Hostinger. After finding out about Hostinger's less intimidating user interface (HPanel) and lower rates (maybe, still not certain I was looking at a reseller plan or not.), I figured it might be better for me as (currently) a beginner. However, I am confused on which of their plans are for resellers and why their plan modules differ from others. Most other resellers label their reseller modules with "X client accounts" (or similarly.), where Hosting use "x websites". I'm uncertain weather or not this means the same thing? From what I have picked up on, it seems like (maybe) Hostinger reseller Plans may put more responsibility (Purchasing client's domain names, ssl certificates, etc.) on the reseller, where other resellers leave those responsibilities with the clients being hosted by the reseller? I'm not really sure how to look at Hostinger's plans?
@Emit.Reviews
Жыл бұрын
When it comes to reseller hosting, Hostinger doesnt really have a dedicated plan for that. They use the same plans as the regular ones that allow you to host multiple websites. I don't think they're a good fit and you'll more likely than not run into performance issues or questions from your customers on why they dont have a "set amount" of dedicated resources. My honest recommendation for reseller hosting would be as you mentioned A2hosting OR (and sorry to throw another option into the mix :D) ScalaHosting. I think Scala would offer you the best of both worlds, easy controls and lots of functionality. As they use sPanel (they developed it themseves) it allows you to add your own branding to it. So, customers feel more like they're using your service. They also allow creating seperate login credentials for every customer and set resource limitations for each account. So, you'll br able to charge for upgrades and limit account abuse of 1 person. They allow suspending accounts or adding new ones at will. They also utilize VPS instead of shared hosting for a reasonable price ($14.95/mo) without any account number limits (but you still have limited resources so if you have too many accounts users will have degraded performance). Check em out here emit.reviews/go/scala-reseller I recommend Cloud Entry to start with, you can always upgrade as needed. Good luck and thanks for watching!

:) I’m glad I was hesitant to jump into Hostinger simply because of the less intimidating UI, and commenting. I haven’t had “less than fair” response from KZitem content creators (In the decades of my YT account.) and didn’t really expect “such an amazing” response, but thought maybe it would be worth it if some bored KZitem watcher stumbled across my comment and knew a little more than I did. :) Your AMAZING for that alone. That did come to mind while watching another one of your videos, “It’s not really unlimited, there are caps.”. The main reason I was considering Hostinger (In spite of my concerns) was because it seemed to be a cheap lesson learned (with the benefit of getting my feet wet.) if it didn’t work out, but the best lesson learned is one learned by someone else. Lol the suggestion is welcomed, your knowledge greatly out weighs mine. :) Just did a little brief research. While Scala seems to share a lot in common with hostinger, there are NOTICEABLE differences (Including features and plan clarity.). :) Thank you sooo much. I will definitely be recommending your videos and affiliate links to others.

How does Hostinger compare to Cloudways? Also which plan would you recommend for hosting 4-10 sites. Biggest site probably getting 10k visitors/month on a busy month. Thanks 😊
@Emit.Reviews

Cloudways is definitely more expensive. You dont get domains or email hosting included as well. If you have these 2 covered you can get better performance (for 3x the price) from Cloudways. For your case Id recommend Hostinger Cloud Hosting, either the middle or most powerful plan (depending on the sizes of the sites and your price sensitivity)

@@Emit.Reviews thanks Emit! I’m currently testing Cloudways. I moved some of my domains from my AWS EC2 instance. I appreciate not having as much maintenance requirements for the server. Is Hostinger’s Cloud Startup plan any good or would you skip it? So far I’ve been decently pleased with the results with Cloudways. I love that they give you a Cloudways domain to test and build the site prior to launch. I’m not sure if many other services have that feature built in. Thanks!
