Lead Singer Errol Brown usually wrote kind of somber , or serious songs . He was born in Jamaica, and wrote alot of message songs, this is considered one of his first "Happier Songs" He wrote it to his wife Ginette and they stayed together 35 years , until his passing. She is a Gorgeous woman to this day. Peace

One day he asked me if I had heard of the band ....and I of course said I did...and he said that he was a founding member of the group... "You Sexy Thing"" " is a song recorded by the British group Hot Chocolate. It was written by Hot Chocolate's lead singer Errol Brown and bass guitarist Tony Wilson, and was produced by Mickie Most. The song was released in October 1975 and reached number two on the UK Singles Chart in 1975, as well as number three on the US Hot 100 a year later. ranked it the number-twenty-two song for 1976. It went on to gain notability by being featured in films, such as The Full Monty. (1997).

I can't believe I missed your reaction a year ago to this legendary group. When I was a teenager, I didn't care about disco at all, until I heard Hot Chocolate. I saw them live in L.A. and they were phenomenal! Errols' voice was magical and he moved around the stage like he was floating. He was the definition of smooth. They had 2 gorgeous back up singers and it felt like experiencing something other worldly. At one point, the bassist was singing and Errol gestured to 4 young ladies who came right up on stage and all 5 danced arm in arm like one unit. No way was it rehearsed. There I was, a native kid with hair down to my A-hole dancing with my girl and having a blast. I hadn't thought about that show for so many years, thank you for the trip down memory lane.

Great reactions, you are my favorite of all the reactors on KZitem, I am still patiently waiting though for you to go down the Tom Waits rabbit hole, it was seeing a reaction video to Tom that got me hooked on watching reaction videos. I know that Tom Waits will quickly become one of your favorite artist if you start listening to a wide variety of his different stages of songwriting. he started out as a bluesy piano songwriter songwriter but switched gears in 1983 an became more avant garde, start with the pre 83 stuff and work your way forward. Tom Trauberts Blues, Kentucky Avenue, Shiver Me Timbers, Grapefruit Moon, Ruby's Arms, Saving All My Love for You, The Piano Has Been Drinking are all great early songs.

I love the little flip in his voice at the end of the line. Makes the song (which already has so much goodness).

You would be so much fun! I wish I could take you back with me to relive those days and the music! All the dances, the concerts, the talking, the hanging out, the "parking", the whole package!! What fun we would have ... you would be the perfect partner to have fun with and experience it all. I wish ....

Always loved that song. That guitarist sure looked like Don Felder of the Eagles. Does anyone know the identity of the guitarist on this video?

I have a good friend of mine who loves these guys as much as I do and his favourite track by far is "No Doubt About It". He just loves the video and how certain the character in the song is about having seen extra-terrestrials visit earth. The video is pretty hilarious too. Joking aside, they really are a helluva smooth soulful and groovy band and I'm glad I got to listen to them thanks to my dad's eclectic musical tastes meant there was always a good and varied amount of kickass music playing in the house. I recommend the following Hot Chocolate tracks: - Emma - Heaven's in the back seat of my Cadillac - You could've been a lady - Brother Louis - So You Win Again - Girl Crazy - Tears on the Telephone - It Started With A Kiss - I Gave You My Heart (Didn't I) I'm sure there's plenty more songs out there but these are the ones off the top of my head.

Keep dancing! It's one of our favorite parts. I can't speak for anyone else but I'm usually right there with you, smiling and dancing along. Thanks for lightening up my evening.
