@@Finance-ed4224 Since no one answered you, I'll help. Just any will do mate. But if it's your first time, I wouldn't bother with an actual hotpot set. Just get a camping gas burner and any pot from ya kitchen. Stick to one type of soup base: either spicy Sichuan (if people can handle it) or any basic flavoured chicken or pork stock with added satay oil and rock sugar. FYI, you can source hotpot flavour satchets from Woolies and Coles in Asian section, look for purple/white packet branded Lee Kum Kee. Just to help you out a bit - incase video doesn't specifically give specifics: for proteins get slice frozen wagyu (if possible), otherwise ask your local butcher for thinest slices of softest beef he's got. Other proteins: add fresh raw tiger prawns (peeled), fresh calamari, dry or fresh tofu, canned quail eggs, fried fish tofu (sold frozen in brown cubes), fish tofu with fish roe inside (my personal favourite, sold frozen in shape of Hersheys drops). Choose from either egg or potato noodle to compliment. And for greens: chrysanthemum stalks (is best, but only if you can source), otherwise greens like bok choy or gai lan, wombok cabbage, canned baby corn, fresh enoki mushroom, shittake mushroom. And to dip it all, mix light soy sauce with satay sauce/oil, hoisin sauce, sriracha chilli and diced spring onion and coriander (if you like it, lol). See, it's a lot of effort and lots of ingredients. But well worth it for a party of 6 people per pot. Else, I recommend going to a hotpot restaurant and explore what you like and don't like before doing it yourself.

i hope someone else washes the dishes and puts away the leftover foods it would be shitty if he had to do all that after (buying the ingredients, some are expensive too) supplying the food, preparing the food and cooking it all (except what is cooked at the table) hopefully his friends and loved ones are appreciative enough to at least clear the table, clean any mess, wash/dry then put away the dishes and pack up the rest of the food, (if there was anything left afterwards) then store or send off.
@whenitsover3479

@@DisenchantedLove that’s unnecessary, someone can reciprocate in nearly any other way. for him to put HOURS into cooking and the pay back to only be a few minutes of clean up is a little strange, most of the time people that are good at cooking will take care of the dishes as they go anyway to avoid clutter and labor at the end, so there’d hardly be anything to pick up after he’s done. it’d just be better to do other things in return that require a similar amount of effort as he puts in for them
