I am a 19-year-old orphan. Was raised by a single mother, and when she died, I moved in with her cousin. My uncle pays my tuition fee. He is married with two kids. When I started living with them, they had a maid. My uncle’s wife said that since I was there, they were to let the maid go and I do the chores and get paid. I got paid the first five months and nothing thereafter and I noticed things were difficult for them. We stay with other people who also rent. So in December, I had to do a thorough cleaning for the co-tenant for $15. My Gogo received the money in my absence and she didn’t give it to me. I do piece jobs and once she finds out, she collects the money herself or she insists that I buy bread until I’m left with nothing. She now makes it a point that she gets piece jobs for me in our neighborhood. I don’t think my uncle is aware of what is happening and I’m not comfortable anymore. Should I tell him? Most of my mother’s relatives live in rural areas, and I don't want to go there. What should I do? Please help!
