Lavonne’s Kitchen’s Hot Water Cornbread
Prep time 15 minutes, Cook Time ½ hour, Serves 13
Ingredients
4-3/4 Cups Hot Water
½ stick Melted Butter
1 Cup All Purpose Flour
4 Cups Yellow Cornmeal
¼ cup Vegetable Oil
2 tsp Salt
Directions
Boil Water.
In a bowl add Cornmeal, Flour, and Salt. Whisk together.
Add butter and hot water and stir for 2 minutes
Heat oil in a skillet.
Place 3-4 large spoonfuls of mixture in the hot oil. Cook for 4-5 minutes on each side.
Remove from skillet and place on a plate lined with paper towel.
