I had these in a hot wheels race track set. I still have them and to this day. of course well played with , my Monte Carlo ended up repainted and grill less. The Torino looked very similar to what you received here for the restore

Love the way this one came out. Starsky from Starsky and Hutch drove a red Torino, it had that white stripe on it. The show itself was kind of " meh", the car was really popular. That could be why it was harder to find.

I was a huge Starsky and Hutch fan, my brother and I called it "Husky and Starch." I actually saw a blooper one time where David Soul was crouched next to a dumpster in a gun fight. He capped off six rounds at the bad guy and shouted "GUN!" A hand appeared from behind the dumpster, like "Thing" from the Addam's Family, holding another gun, which he grabbed and capped off six more rounds.

The Torino Stocker was one of the first cars I took apart and stripped, now you've challenged me to finish it and look for a Monte Carlo to go with it. I have a long list of projects and you keep adding more. Where did you order the decals?

same base, glass and interior piece, huh. they really know how to pinch a penny back when. XD looks great, love the glowy red and the decals. :) did stockers from that era have their headlights and stuff painted on like funny cars, or were they just left body colour?
@TimeRider
Жыл бұрын
Everything I saw on the internet related to this casting showed no painted headlights. I actually do look online for every casting I do and try to be authentic in the recreation.

@@TimeRider ah. I was actually referring to the original racecars. :) but these castings were, again, never exported to europe and are way too expensive to buy overseas and customize like that, anyway. ;)
