Times New Roman, the font that is used, actually came out in 1932, meaning that this must actually be the 1932 print without the audio.

Ah yes, the original test reel that only got aired in a few theaters around 1924 (and only once in very early 1925 as a budget short), It also got remastered in 1937 due to its limited success from the theaters it aired in as "Pesky Plumbers".

Well actually not The original film came in 1920s it had audio but it's too distorted until it was lost but until 1934s the film had to be remake and the reel was only found expect for the audio they decided put the little women music the 1920s version is different than the 1934 version

I don't remember ever seeing a title card for "Luigi, look!" In all the versions I've seen, that was left out, since the director was satisfied that Mario pointing conveyed what the audience needed to know.

This is the pilot which had that title card apparently the title card designer designed this title card (and all the others) but the director removed that one because he thought that Mario pointing was more efficient than having a title card

The original screenplay was meant to be “eh Luigi” however the director got confused and thought Mario was saying “gay Luigi” and that became a joke to the people that worked with the animation company who animated this (it’s unknown what the name of the company actually is)
