Q. Why should we not throw plastic bottles into the river?
A. Plastics are non-biodegradable wastes which cannot be broken by nature or natural organisms. So once we throw it, it would stay with us forever and ever.
It not only affects humans but also marine life. The production of plastics consumes a lot of natural resources like crude oil and water which are limited in supply.
Besides this these plastics also affect marine life because the marine animals mistaken them to be food and ingest them or get entangled in them - causing them to have health problems or even choke to death.
Also when sea food is eaten up by humans it again enters our gut and harms us.
Hence Plastic should not be thrown in water.
