Great Video!! Love the sound of the Mack Idling inside the cab, sounds like a Locomotive Engine. I have a 93 Dodge W 250 Cummins. I am going to look up the Mack After Cooler System. Thank you again.

Holy shit, I thought I was the only one to hotshot a 1st gen. I been running my 91 dually since 2018 but finally sold out my semis and brokerage authority back in may for a fat pile of cash. Best of luck in the business my brother, it's getting brutal. That's why I decided to take my money and run.

@@jackryan4313 90+ hour work weeks, low rates, high diesel, insurance costs rise year over year for no reason that robs all your profit, and a 7-10 year phase out of human drivers for 40-60% of the industry. Don't get me wrong, if you know someone that can hook you up on a contract making good money, do it. But running purely loadboards is hard as hell. I been truckin since 16 and started on an Agriculture exemption, got my own authority at 21, and by 26 I have grey hair, high blood pressure and a perminant neck injury from someone running a hard red-light and smashing into the side of me on my very last load before the new owners took overs. Goes to show you can have all the experience in the world and it don't stop idiots from wrecking you.

@@firstgentrucking207 do you find yourself pulling 3rd out longer to reach an RPM level high enough to pull 4th? I seem to run a shorter shift on 1-2-3 then hold onto 3rd longer... And this is dry with no load
@firstgentrucking207

I usually run it up to 24-2500 on each shift to avoid lugging it. With a real heavy load or a big wind catcher I'll just run 4th gear since it's a direct drive gear. I ruined the countershaft bearings lugging it too much last spring.

@@firstgentrucking207 mine seems to complain when I wind out 1-2, I also just daily mine as a commuter. So maybe it's because it's dry. I do avoid lugging although sometimes find it difficult to shift down into 2nd without throwing myself and the momentum forward. Just wanted to pick your brain since I don't know anyone with one of these trucks.

I've daily driven mine for five years, it's been my only vehicle up until recently. Without a trailer "bobtailing" I just run up to 2,000 before I shift. It's a slow shifting transmission by nature It requires an extra second to shift. When downshifting I'll bring my rpms up while shifting and try to meet it at the right rpm then let off the gas after the clutch is out. Helps the clutch last longer and easier on the tranny

Your strap job is incorrect and illegal. If any individual piece of a load being secured is more than 4 foot long and over 1,000 lbs then it must be secured with TWO straps. You had one strap on your top truck bed.
