Will apartment prices in Prague continue to rise or fall? In recent weeks, perhaps everyone in the real estate market has asked this question. Therefore, we decided to find the answer to it in the next part Living Prague.
It is not always easy to predict the development of real estate prices on the market. Especially when they are affected by events such as the financial crisis or the invasion of Ukraine and the ensuing war. In addition, one thing must be kept in mind - real estate prices are constantly rising in the long run. For example, our parents paid a significantly lower amount for an apartment or house than we did.
What does the apartment market in Prague look like today? Prague real estate agencies register a growing number of properties on offer, but very little interest in buying. This is likely to mean in the future that sellers who unsuccessfully offer an apartment or house will have to gradually reduce the price.
Is the sale of the apartment currently worthwhile? It mainly depends on what you use the money for. If you use it, for example, to buy another property, to invest or to do business, then yes. If you let the money just "lie down", sooner or later inflation will affect it.
And what if you want to buy an apartment or a house? The answer is easy - if you have money for your dream property, it doesn't matter when you buy it. In any case, it will gain in price over time. Just make sure you can repay the mortgage. We focused on how they changed this year in one of the previous episodes ( • Hypotéka 2022 - budou ... ).
