A few years ago I befriended a stray cat, and one day I came home to find her waiting inside my house for me. Nobody let her in, she let herself in, coming in through the vents. I was amazed at her resourcefulness, and she's been my part-time roommate ever since. Idk where she originally came from, or what happened to her, but she has remained skiddish for the 5 years I've known her, wincing away any time I try to pet her, and generally just does her own thing. She's a good cat though, and I'm glad she was able to find me in her travels, rather than someone who might not have been so welcoming, or as cat friendly as I am.

@@aliamjon2550 not a slur or anti white is just a stereotype/slang that can be applied to all races and ethnicities. Slurs are “linguistic expressions that are primarily used to derogate certain group members for their descriptive PHYSICAL attributes” whilst a stereotype (negative/positive) is a “widely spread idea of a certain group, which might be correct but vastly over emphasised”. Big difference, but if it makes you feel better I’m biracial/mixed and a woman (if you want to call me a sexist as well as a racist, which, I’m not either one) “Karen” is not just a slang coming after white woman, it’s not targeting someone’s physique/race or looks, but rather THEIR ACTIONS. It’s used against entitled/ opinionated women who are in the wrong but keep insisting they’re right on false bases and other actions. The fact that majority of them are Caucasian/white women (around the world) who act this way is just a mere stereotype, that you’re imposing on my post as well. My Mom and I had a cat who was obsessed with fabric. My Mom's a quilter and has rooms full of bins of fabric. We kept finding piles of fabric pieces, some of them pretty large, all over the house. We finally caught him doing it. He'd sit in the bin, carefully using his paws to browse through the fabric, picking out specific pieces and setting them aside. Then he'd carry each piece to a pile in another room. My Mom sewed him a quilt out of the pieces he picked. He was such a special, affectionate cat.

His attempts to get in through the cat-flap with this giant slab of pig is what drew our attention. The thing is, it was grilled on one side. Didn’t stay though. But every morning randomly 4am it will reach out to me from nowhere. One day I was walking outside I felt like someone is watching me.. and when I looked this cat was watching me from few feet away. It was like she wanted me to go to her. I felt a strange connection with the car and when I went near to the cat it immediately started showing all the love and sat in my lap!! Cats! Our cat, Ramone, is deceased now but we, and our neighbours, got to enjoy his shenanigans for 15 years. He was the biggest sweetheart ever. Always had to visit with everyone, greet them with a friendly hello. He'd jump in your vehicle just to tease. He somehow felt entitled to enter our neighbour's homes and they let him! He liked eating flowers....all of us had half eaten flower beds. If someone had a garage sale he'd hang around, walking on the tables, getting pets from people coming and going. It still amazes us how awesome our neighbours were with him. He obviously stole their hearts like he'd stolen ours. A new family bought the house directly across from us just recently. They have 2 cats and I sure enjoy watching those cats wander around.

OMG 😱 My blessed deceased cat Ebenezer; yes he acted exactly as his name implies, lives again. When Cleo hissed and opened his mouth I saw the same black splotch, size, design etc on top as Ebie. I know it’s probably a coincidence but it sure is fun to think about and play with him. I love you, Ebeneezer and thank you for being a great cat. I love you. 2008-2022

Years ago, my mom's neighbor asked if she had a little black cat. Yes, she did. Why? "Because she climbs our screen door in order to peak into our living room." My mom was horrified that her cat had damaged the screen door. The neighbor said, "Oh, please don't worry about it. We love seeing her little face peaking in at us!" Nice neighbors.

@@sharmanklinefelter508My family had a pitbull that always would drag out my mom's underwear to the living room, lol. Has plenty of access to the rest of the family's clothes, but no, he only wanted her stuff 😂 Things got both frustrating and hilarious when he began to knock over the trash. We would come home from school and see it knocked over and the dog would be cowering in the hallway. One of us would yell "Scooby!" and he was GONE! You could hear his paws as he scrambled down the hallway 😂. We ended up having to place the trash in odd places like on the counter. This was before the days if wireless cameras where you could peek in and speak to your pets on your phone (the iPhone didn't even exist yet, which was from 2007). I miss that dog, he truly had the most unique personality of any pet we'd owned.

That’s honestly a really great neighbourhood for everyone to be so cool about their stuff being stolen. Meanwhile other areas get into vicious and occasionally violent squabbles over tree branches sticking over their fences
@flickwtchr
8 ай бұрын
Indeed. In our family home of over 50 years, we have very large beautiful maple trees near a fence that separates the adjoining property and had never been an issue before a new owner of that property moved in. Some branches up 20 feet or so start to cross the property line so the owner of that property started leaving notes on my Mom's door (in her 80s) saying either she get any branches cut off that extend over her property line, or she would take my Mom to small claims court. That was the way she greeted my Mom, with a note and a threat just a few weeks after moving into the neighborhood. The trees if anything add beauty and value to her property as they provide a large amount of shade especially in the summer and her house sits far away from what is the back of her property, so there is no practical nuisance other than what she has conjured up in her mind. My Mom has always in the fall paid yard workers to to rake and bag the leaves from that adjoining property, which she offered to this new owner. My Mom had the tree trimmers do their thing, so once beautifully shaped Maple trees now have 2/3 their original form. No doubt the "Karen" goes out frequently to catch any branch trespassing.

I realize this video is supposed to be a cute story. But to me this is just an irresponsible cat owner. I have a neighbor who lets their cat out every day. The cat comes over to our windows and back doors and starts fights with our cats through the screens. I never understand why when people know their cats are causing a problem in the neighborhood, why don't they just keep him inside the house or inside a fenced yard at least? I would never allow my cats outside because I know there are predators, both animal and human, that could hurt my pets. In addition there are fleas and ticks, diseases, cars zooming by, etc.

@@flickwtchr did you consult a lawyer? At least in Canada (which is very similar in law to the USA where I assume you're from), would have laughed her out of court for any nuisance claim. @infini_ryu9461

@@UpcomingJedi You're taking this much too seriously. It is clearly not a big issue for the residents, if only a little annoying. Cats do not understand that this is wrong. This is the same behaviour a cat makes when it brings back a bird or a mouse to "contribute", it's intentions are pure. When we leave the house for work the cat just thinks we're out hunting and bringing back food for ourselves and them. Of course, if you're talking larger animals like dogs, then yes, this behaviour should be reined in, but we allow this behaviour because they're too small to cause any real harm and we like them hunting pests.

@@Ateezwooyounghmm. I have had an outside cat for about 3 years now. Just showed up here one day. We feed her 3 times a day & build shelters for her outside. She even gets a heating pad under the blanket inside her shelter in the winter time. She comes to see me every time I go outside pretty much & I always bring her treats. Have gotten her inside about 3 times now. But every single time, she cries & cries & cries, hides, doesn't eat. Then as soon as we let her outside to the backyard which is fenced in with a cat fence, she climbs the fence & gets out again. I just worry a lot about her being outside. I used to love the rain & also cold weather but now I feel like I can't even enjoy it anymore because I'm worried about the outside cats being uncomfortable (we have another one too but he is feral & won't let us anywhere near) but yeah, I think you are right.

My parents had a big male part Siamese cat ( mostly feral ) years ago, this cat delivered dead creatures to the front and back doors of their home to prove his worth for close to a decade. Bunnies, birds, rodents, squirrels and best of all snakes of all kinds ( even small timber rattler's now and then, ) that worried mom and dad for years. This cat finally decided to make keeping the inside of the house safe from all evil. For his last several years the king was in the house, yet hunted constantly in every room in the house just daring any creature to invade his new kingdom. When his time came we gave him the celebration this battle scared warrior of daring, renown and undefeated in battle deserved. Mom and dad were always happy that the king picked them, to guard and protect from all evil doers that came near their yard and home.
