I own a couple properties in Houston and have been here for years. I’d never sell them, especially to these movers from outer state trying to buy up property for profit. I know a lot of Californians coming and buying two/three houses, one for residential and the rest for lease on a profit. Please, PLEASE don’t be so greedy and leave houses for other folks to buy. The only reason I’ve even bought other houses a couple years back was because I knew my kids would need places of their own after graduating from school and wouldn’t be able to find any at a decent price. These rich CA people find the prices in TX cheap and proceed to suck our housing market dry. Many people ask, why would anyone move to Houston? Well, there are parts of the city with a bad rep and rightfully so. But Houston has some really nice neighborhoods and there’s a lot of diversity in this city. I’ve lived here for years in a couple of less nice neighborhoods but have never been robbed or anything. There’s some great schools and universities here too, plus the living costs aren’t too bad. Lots of entertainment if you visit the right areas.

These insane economic irregularities are obvious signs of incoming inflation and collapse. If it was just housing, it'd be just a housing bubble recession, but everything is going up in price, while the dollar collapses, and less people are working than ever before. Collapse incoming.

We had the same issue here in FL. Finally gave up on the idea of a house and went to look for land. Found a good Double-Wide, needed the land to put it on. The first property we put an escrow deposit on, the owner died before we could close. He had no relatives. Second property, the seller didn't want to wait for an appraisal. And everything down here is backed up by MONTHS! Third property, before we even put an escrow on it, the owner assured us it was high and dry, no FEMA flood issues...well, he was telling the truth! However, EVERY ROAD INTO that neighborhood was in the floodplain! We would have been trapped! And the contract he came up with was worse than a HOA! Found a piece of property online, Checked it out with the COUNTY, Called the owner, put a Down Payment on it after we told him what we were trying to do...gave us a nice simple contract, we've now passed the appraisal and we've gotten our survey done...Finally, went to see the land its in a nice neighborhood. The MORTGAGE CO reapproved the loan for 1 YEAR! Because it's taking that long to get everything done down here! Started this nightmare in DEC 2020. Still waiting to close 2 1/2 months later. Oh, and the Title Co. along with just about everybody else in FL has had their computers or networks crashing! LOL! Thank God we actually live down here already!
