I think about this a lot … I’ve seen 12 inch trim that looks amazing ! It looks very custom .

Hi! Could you please share the heights of each of the cabinets in the double stack, in addition to the crown? We are doing exactly this with our 9ft ceilings but struggling to figure out crown size! Thank you super informative!

I would recommend doing 36” and 15” wall cabinets stacked and that will leave you 2.25” for crown

I have this same problem thank you! I like / love the fact that you painted the ceiling walls and cabinets the same color. Nice look

What did you end up doing with your house?

@@Buffalomodular your video was so helpful in aiding in our decision to add the shorter open shelves above the main set of cabinets. To house my collections of cookbooks mixing bowls etc. We have 10’ plus ceilings our home was built in 1847 so we are opening the ceiling up to expose the rafters. It’s been a project and still have a couple of months until finished. Thank you for asking though. It’s been our last room and the toughest because the bulk had for our basement stairs are right there. It’s been tough to design around. I’m going with a large cooktop. I wanted to relocate them completely, but convincing my husband is the challenge. It has been an overwhelming challenge from the beginning. Our home is where we spend our lives so I want to create a sanctuary that we love to be. I would love to have some help in this area but where we live so rural it’s been hard to find contractors with a vision.

what are your thoughts on doing a 48" single door cabinet rather than stacked?

48 inch would be a custom size, but either way I’m not sure it would look good. Clean lines are one thing, but that might be taking it a little too far.
