I remember doing this WAY back in the day.. nowadays machines makes chains flawless at almost the price of the gold itself!. TO ME the added value of a handmade chain will ALWAYS be worth much more to me than the price of the gold.. I wish more costumers felt the same way...

Not stupid at all. Hitting the gold will take the energy out of it and will somewhat make it a bit more stiff. But this is pure gold so it will stay soft after bashing it anyway. Hope this helps

I come from a family of jewellers, I never bother to learn this job before but when my father who taught a little passed away I was force to learn it and today am benefiting from it,its really an interesting job.all I luck is modern material(tools) to upgrade and advanced it,I know how to search for product(gold,silver,platinum, precious stones and all that's needed.
