They were so certain of a win that instead of still giving their all... they had the junior team play in their stead. And lost. Badly. They do unfortunately have a problem with overconfidence++ though. And so if they score the first goal chances are high they'll win the match. But if the other team score the first goal.. chances are high they'll loose (or at least wont get more than one more goal) even if said goal happened in the first 5 minutes and they should have had more than enough time to try to score two goals or more.

And then thinking this is still too popular of an upset because it’s the World Cup. In cup games we’ve had these scenarios too funnily enough, for example in Spain where 3rd tier Alcorcon beat Real Madrid 4-0, in the Netherlands where there were 3 amateur teams in history reach all the way to the semifinals, including last year (where SV Spakenburg did it), and a few years back too with a team called VVSB with a department store worker who scored a beautiful goal to send them in the semi’s. And France even has a cup format which makes it easier for French amateur teams for making it far, even having some finalists in history (if they had won that would easily be the biggest upset ever). Also shoutout to Gibraltarian club Lincoln Red Imps for beating legendary club Celtic once in the Champions League qualifying rounds. Everyone seems to forget that 😅

I think we were 5, called us 'the losers' (we weren't bitter or anything, it was just for fun) and we didn't lose one single game in 6 or 12 months, no idea how long we did it. The reason why was actually that we knew how to teamplay. That was a really valuable life lesson for me.
