America has a problem of confusing talent with clout. This is the reason why I hate social media stars being millionaires because this is a system that rewards the least amount of effort, or effort that goes into being a nuiscance.

I don’t blame people who become successful despite having no talent. It’s ultimately the fault of people who give them attention, including Charlie and including us. Most in this economy would absolutely make easy soulless cash if they could.

I am jealous and would sell out if I could but that doesnt mean I dont hate the system thats in place. People who absolutely dont deserve this money get millions, while the jobs that are actually worthwhile get pennies in comparison. Its just screwed up where priorities are.

A lot of people go viral but you still need to be interesting, skilled, likable or funny in order to turn all that attention into a career. A lot of people try and force it without having anything of value to offer and disappear with the meme.

I mean, she could make a name for herself as someone who comes up with oddly specific onomatopoeias on the spot, which could result in novelty bit parts/supporting characters in comedy movies (similar to how Michael Winslow got famous for making actual sounds with his voice, but not quite the same), but I don’t think it’s plausible for Hawk Tuah to hold for an entire career.
