How geeky am I watching a video about process improvement on a Friday night? :) Also, trying to fix the process before any staff turnover highlights the issues, is the key but difficult to fix.

Love this video. Getting the original process writers to realize something needs to change is difficult. Pushing up from the bottom. Very tiring.

Here on a Friday night as well. It's been in my watch list for awhile now. Tried watching some basic entertainment tv, but was bored. So here I am.

I feel like this is being tied into operations. But some jobs I've seen has a designated person.

In minute 9:55 you mentioned about Benefit #1: Documenting Assumptions How an employee can document additional assumptions about the current process? do you mean the company should allow in the first place by giving an edit/adding note access to process users, through the software they're using?

Would it not be a good idea to create a "PROCESS" / "SOP" review fillable form available for any new joining employee to register his thoughts or assumptions in case of confusion with a reference to a particular portion or step of an SOP and share it with the process/ SoP creator or person in charge of systemization for his/ her review and input before making any further wrong or right assumptions of his/ her own? Thank you

Hello there, I found this video very helpful in understanding, "how to approach a process for improvement". However, I'm really intrigued to know; 1. What are the technical terms (jargon as you mentioned) used to describe by the professionals in the industry for, a) "PAUSE & review the process & the SOPs" and b) "Let's just look at things as we go". Withal, is there any tutorial video you have already created on "A"? if YES, please share the link, & if NO, please consider making one? Thank you

Typically you'll see things like "process audit" or "gap analysis" for A and "iteration" or "continuous improvement" for B. We don't yet have a video on A because I tend to live in the Land of B for our audience but I'll add it to our ideas list for the future! 🎉 Closest we currently have is this one (kzitem.info/news/bejne/mKuNt3qKqYadq44) which, again, is pretty beginner-oriented.

It's Sunday, sitting in my balcony, watching my kid in the pool and listening to this video. Perfect weekend! 😄 Love the lesson about the snowball effect, making small changes as we move along. Have a lovely weekend all!
