as one of the 1 in 8 or so americans to work at mcdonalds at least once in their lives, this man is the epitome of hope and giving someone a chance. I was hired at Mcdonalds in 2015 after I got kicked out of college for lack of funds. I had nothing but 25k of student debt and a minimum wage job at 18. @@greekreThere are thousands and thousands of people that DO NOT have a single living relative. That's just the way it is. He has been extremely fortunate. Most apartment complexes limit the number of days that people can have visitors. Sometimes it is as little as a week so people can't let anyone stay or they could get an eviction notice that they can't afford. My biggest question here is: do his wages cover all basic living expenses in that area? Rent, food, health insurance, car expenses. Or is he still homeless? Does he live out his car? As we all know this is 2024 not 1985. Most jobs gradually put you in debt. A McDonalds starting wage might not cover all his basic needs.

I volunteered with that population for a three-month county sponsored program, and out of over 800 people we approached, FOUR accepted help getting a job, clean clothes, and a free place to live. The vast majority of the homeless literally WANT to be homeless. I have NO pity for them at all after the way they treated me.

The part where I said…"can be extremely rare"…EXTREMELY RARE…you seem to have missed that part and you all have prove my example of lack for mercy. It doesn’t matter where and for whom a person works for as long it’s enough to earn a decent living. May not be much but it can be a start, a blessing and room to grow, not every single person walks on the same path. Just because it happened for one person doesn’t mean it should have be the same for you…get over with that me, me, me…what about me crying stuff, not everything have to be all about you. Covid hit and now no one feels they want or need someone like me, no matter how hard I sell myself or low ball my compensation. I am stuck working 3 jobs above but close to minimum wage. I work 7 days a week, going from one job to another each day and I take a half day on Sunday. I am blessed that I have a 20+ year old decent car that is paid for and a house that is paid for but it is just me. My electric has been off since October and I am still trying to get my property tax out of delinquent status before they decide they want my house. Let me tell you, the struggle is absolutely real !! In Islam God says "The hand that gives is more valuable than the one it takes". Awesome manager and couple. God bless them.

God has angels eveywhere and sometimes when we dnt get or it takes time God reveals n awnsers our prayers as you thought God abandoned you he delivered you by his hand through one his Angels on earth. The very people stopped the boss HALLELUJAH!

ok, but did anyone house him? they drove him to a mcdonalds (who cares) and he got a job (that wont pay him enough to afford shelter), so whats the feel-good part of the story??

God bless them all. The US Government needs to do something to help and shelter the homeless, feed the hungry and help those with mental illness. People have to stop being so mean and judgemental of others. If you can't help anyone, don't hurt them.

Keep fighting young man and people are sick they don't understand that. People have hard times in life and it don't mean they using drugs or drinking.

I am so glad they helped him because some jobs require a permanent address which is ridiculous, how we can help people who are homeless and left them up off the street if they have no address . This lady is a great woman, all respect for her to hire him. Also, the man and woman who stopped by him are great people of God. Thanks God there are still good people.
