So inspiring. I have been living with chronic illnesses for nearly 50 years. I have got to the stage where I am mostly staying at home, avoiding a lot of activity and worrying when we travel. Only just found that there is help available and recovery is possible. I will continue to research which option I should go with, and 2024 will be a better year for me.

I enjoy hearing recovery stories, but from everything I've learned, it seems there are definitely at least two types of this illness (probably lots more than two). Brain training seems to work for people with symptoms caused/increased by a dysregulated nervous system, but is useless to those with mitochondrial damage causing their symptoms and can end up causing more damage by making them push themselves. A lot of CFS sufferers get angry about brain training but there's no doubt it has worked for some people...sadly it's useless for recovery to those with damage at a cellular level... no amount of calmed nervous system will cause sudden autophagy and heal/renew the damaged cells, hopefully it will just happen over time.

Agreed about it not feeling like work! I had CPTSD from various traumas, but I was doing well with tons of tools, brain training and yogic practices (I already worked in the practice). But after Long Covid, more came up and now I’m just eager to do the deepest healing even if I’m doing better. Necessary for trauma healing and being a happy healthy person all around!

I love your channel. Thank you for doing what you do. D-Ribose, Co-Q10 helped me a lot to keep working. A strict Carnivore diet of 0 carbs and 95% fatty red meat has completely changed my life. It took a few months, but I now have all my mental and physical strength back. I dropped 30# and cured my chronic heartburn of 18 years. I ate extremely clean before switching to carnivore, salads daily, almost zero processed foods. I hope this helps someone. Thanks for your videos, they got me started and helped me navigate it. God Bless you and your family.

@@kathy.7475 I sincerely wish you the best with what works for you. My experience was that took a solid 30 days for all my bad gut bacteria to die off before feeling normal again. This was without ‘cheating’ aka feeding the toxic bacteria so they live another day. I also made the mistake of not eating enough fat. I did Keto for years with some, but limited results. Zero carbs with HIGH fat eliminated my bloat, daily heart burn of 18 years and severe energy issues. Removing the toxic oxalates, lectins and 1,000s of other poisons from my diet I think was a huge factor. Again, I wish you the best in what works for you. God Bless you and your family.

Danielle was so eloquent. I really enjoyed this discussion. Inspired me to try and get more committed and persistent with breathwork, I've tried adding into my routine before but I've always been very haphazard with it. Yet it does make me feel good so yep. Time for more. And more websites to check out yaay.

The conscious connected breathing sounds like what Wim Hof teaches along with cold therapy? Do either you Raelan or Danielle know or have heard of his method?
@breatheandhealwithdee
10 ай бұрын
Hi Kathy, I do know wim hof, although the breathwork I do isn't the same as that. Whilst wim hof breath encourages hyperventilation (although this can be beneficial for some people) its not something I do and don't think its something that great for a dysregulated nervous system. If you have any more questions about this please feel free to reach out 🥰

@breatheandhealwithdee I looked up conscious connected breathing and tried it out, and it does seem to cause hyperventilation?? I've been doing it for a few days (10-15 mins a day) and I feel more jittery and wired. Have you customised your CCB to not cause hyperventilation?

Hey, Danielle and Raelan. What a lovely, inspiring story. You were mentioning tracking the progress on the walking. Did you use a fitness tracker? I myself used a fitbit, but for a week or so I took if off and somehow it feels liberating, but somehow it makes me feel like I'm missing something. For me walking was also something I loved. Hiking, walking, cycling, so I focus on these activities as much as I can. They bring me so much joy. Thanks!

I'm glad Danielle is doing better, but this really doesn't seem like a story about severe ME. This really matters! I am not downplaying what Danielle went through. Danielle herself refers to the illness as 'chronic fatigue' and describes 'anxiety', 'negative feelings', 'deep depression', and isolating herself. There's almost no description of a physical illness and all the hellish symptoms that characterise severe ME such as profound exhaustion, sensitivity to basic stimuli, inability to care for oneself, and even problems eating and speaking.
@laurela6626

Everyone has different experiences and a variety of symptoms. Also, I think you must’ve missed parts. She talks about being bed and housebound, unable to talk or text friends or keep up on social media, and says her partner had to do most everything around the house and for her, talks about crashing, the whole nine yards…
@Candiedclouds
10 ай бұрын
She was bedridden for a year… and just because she didn’t focus on specific symptoms doesn’t mean she didn’t have them… also can’t we have ME/cfs AND also have severe anxiety, deep depression and negative feelings? Cmon, you’re acting very ableist here… reminds me of all the people that can’t “see” the illness and doubt we are sick…smh.

Yeno if you are scoffing at her use of the word ‘like’ that is very insensitive. People who use filler words can be overly conscious or even slightly anxious about what they are saying. She is very brave to be here talking about her life, I would be soo anxious. And even if you find it annoying and can’t watch why announce that with such disdain?
