The 1985 film 'Revolution,' is a very strange thing. This high-budget "historical drama" a complete and utter failure at the box office, but when it comes to historical accuracy...well, I'm not really sure what to say about it! As I was first watching this battle scene, I was blown away by the spectacle of many of its shots, and just how incredibly authentic and accurate they felt to the time period. But the more I watched of it...the more I began to pick out problems. Big ones. Historical inaccuracies which were so terrible that, had I not been so impressed by other aspects of the scene, would have let me to believe that its writers had done no research at all into the 18th Century or the American War of Independence! I'm not entirely sure what to make of this scene- but there's certainly an awful lot to discuss as far as authenticity is concerned. So, let's! Shall we?
