Apologizing is the best way to clear the air in any situation where there is doubt, anger or confusion. You never want negativity to dwell because it turns to resentment. And resentment is a lot more difficult to overcome because there has been a build of multiple things. Clear the air with forgiveness and turn away from hurt feelings, sorrow and sadness. Move forward in love , always.

This is EXACTLY how my husband and I speak with our kids. We have to understand that they can also be stressed and frustrated about their days and they too can have an “off day” where nothing is going right & they act out. They need to be allowed to voice their frustrations with what’s going on no matter if it’s us or with their friends or whatever it is. Silencing them will cause many emotional issues and behaviors. We give our children options on how to communicate how & what they’re feeling, whether they tell us or their older siblings, or they write it in their “feelings” journal or draw or sketch or we watch a movie together or have a cooking activity together or we meditate or pray or sit in silence and cuddle. Whatever works for them is for them & it also helps us as parents understand how to & not to express ourselves & our frustrations with them. 💜💜💜 I’ve followed you guys since the beginning when it was just the elder girls & you & Joe first met. I’m so happy for you guys and you have given me so much hope & ideas in my day to day. You guys are truly amazing and beautiful people.💜💜💜💜💜💜

Dayum! That rotary phone on the wall takes me back to my childhood. Pushing 60 come November. We had a green one our kitchen up until my mom bought a house in 1999. I remember trying to win concert tickets from a radio station, back in the 70s. They were looking for caller #198. Man, I got two and a half busy signal calls through, before someone won the tickets. People with push button phones, with redial had quite an advantage. Come to think of it, the phone in Mom's bedroom was rotary too. Her sister insisted on dragging her into the 20th century, and bought her a push button wireless home phone, that Mom set up in the living room, with the second receiver in the den. Hell, I had been out of the house between seven to ten years by then. My friends had Their OWN telephone numbers, with their sleek princess design push button phones. Good memories for sure. 😊
