I was a huge Greg Moore fan. I had the pleasure of meeting him, in Milwaukee in 1998. I agree with you Greg should have never been allowed to race that day with an injured hand. And the serious design flaw of the infield, with the service road. It has been almost 24 years since the accident. There are things a I remember a little different. Primarily the accident that happened in the pits.. RIP Greg.

I actually met him during a job interview to work for the players racing team just a few weeks before his tragic accident...i remember he was very confident he was on his way to becoming one of the best race car drivers ever and personally wanted to meet anyone who might be going to work on his race cars...i ended up declining their offer but i am glad i got to meet him....he was a very inspirational type person you don't meet every day

Great video my man, I like your take on things. Never thought of the accident the way you presented it. I was in the hospital at the time and was focused on rehabbing my two legs from a motocross injury. Years later was when I finally saw the wreck, and what a terrible wreck it was.

Greg Moore should absolutely not have been in the car that day that is for sure. How the accident happened is very much a guessing game. Did Greg crash because he touched the wall and had a deflated tire? Did he loose the car in the turbulent air? Did he loose car because he had no feeling in his hand, I don't know for sure what I do know is I watched the crash many many times. The commentators knew he was dead as soon as accident happened. Great breakdown of possible causes to crash and ur take on things.

Greg's hand was terribly injured. It was never 'just' a finger. That was a complete lie. Greg's entire hand and his health was compromised by the medical treatment he was given the day before and the day that he died. We can never let something like this ever happen again.

The truth sometimes hurts but that’s have to be said and you just did it Roland in first place he shouldn’t be allowed in that car
