One thing we could do is incorporate more public access springs for drinking water into our parks and cities. These are one of the most dynamic and underrated landscape features especially if the water is good for drinking. After drinking water directly from a good spring most other forms of land use seem shallow by comparison. Well developed groundwater resources for drinking could be centrepieces in our parks and cities in the same way as water features are now.

This is a great point and idea. I would say we don't often think about it in that sense and we should more! Thank you for sharing

I have a question for you what will be the benefits of studying architecture an being a real estate investor

I'm not sure honestly! I primarily studied landscape architecture so architecture is a bit out of my realm. I would think having an understanding of how buildings work and operate would help though, maybe being a developer would be beneficial as well.

Do you have any of your early drawings/work to compare your work from then to see how far you skills and abilities have come?

I wish you acknowledged the existence of Seneca village prior to the construction. Many minority groups were displaced during the construction. Central Park is a marvel of natural beauty in the landscape of an urban environment, sure. However, there were other proposals that would have served more communities by establishing numerous parks that directly served the needs of the surrounding neighborhood, not tourists. Good video though

Apologies. Certainly could have mentioned it, it is an unfortunate reality amongst lots of projects in history. And I do see lots of arguments supporting the idea of instead of creating central park they should have just made lots of smaller parks and while I do agree, I think they should try and achieve both. There can never be too much green/open/park space in a city

@@DesignItGreen Agreed. You definitely wouldn’t be able to offer such an immersive experience in smaller square-like parks. Nor would you be able to play baseball, go kayaking etc. in the middle of the city. Love your content by the way.
