Sounds like we should teach the resurrection in school

My school talked about it when we were discussing religions in history class. But they basically say “this is what they think. You don’t have to believe it”

@@historicalperspective your rebuttal against the church and state argument is literally just “you could make a religion based around some sort of historical event therefore there is a different reason”. You then went on to spew some bs about how there isn’t any evidence for the resurrection which is about as historically based as saying Napoleon blew off the sphinxes nose when he went to Egypt

@@SpikeSpiegel-hk7tr so if there IS historical evidence for the resurrection, then why isn’t it taught in history class? If something did actually happen, then it should be taught in history class PERIOD

@@historicalperspective see there’s this little thing that I just stated earlier called *Seperation of church and state*. We know for a fact that Jesus and the disciples were at the very least real people, ask any reputable scholar and they will tell you this fact. We can’t have it in school because it’s part of religion

bro that is not an argument. if historians and scholars actually believed the resurrection actually happened, then it would be taught in world history class. stop coping bro@@SpikeSpiegel-hk7tr

A couple years ago, most 10th grade world history classes started teaching from 1200 AD during the Mongol Empire and the Silk Road instead of the Paleolithic Era, that is probably why they do not talk about the resurrection of Jesus Christ nowadays.

Correct me if I’m wrong but, the main reason why Presidents serve two terms is because Franklin Roosevelt ran for office four times, won four times, and died his technical 4 term which led to the creation of the 22nd amendment. Washington set the precedent of 2 terms informally, hoping all presidents after him would do the same.

Unpopular opinion: HP is right a lot (not most though, at least for now) of the time about religion. Even if you are an HP detractor (which, even I am most of the time) you gotta admit; this video is 99% correct.

Look, people should be taught it as what Christians believe happened. That’s how I was taught about it in school, the same way we were taught that the Romans believed in Jupiter and Saturn.

bru if jesus came back from the dead (which is legitimately impossible regardless of the proof of his existence), it would not be enough to validate every argument made within the Book of Genesis. Just because someone came back from the dead does not inherently prove every argument made in Genesis, however, it would certainly have implications in most fields of science, if y'know, it was possible in the first place

@@historicalperspective It was written in the Bible and that's true. You could use "No one can actually prove" as an argument, but that way you also can't prove the existence of many people like Julius Caser or Alexander the Great.

This might have been the worst video I’ve seen in my life. There are some atheists who can argue some actual good points but you still haven’t come up with one ever since you started this KZitem channel. Why are you even comparing the moon landing to a religion? It just makes no sense to compare two completely different things. The only similarity that they have is that there of skeptics of both religion and the moon landing but that’s it. There are two main reasons why religion isn’t taught in public schools. The first is the separation of religion and state. This means that schools are not allowed to teach religion. The second is freedom of religion which allows anyone to practice whatever religion they wish and to not be forced into a religion that they don’t believe in. This is the true answer to your question and not “I’m an atheist and I don’t believe In Christianity”.
