I wish I could laugh at this incredibly well done satire. But I'm crying at how accurate it actually is. People in way too many countries do NOT go to government to effectively serve - they go for easy paychecks and lazy working conditions.

When a business is fined for wrongdoing to its customers, that money goes to the government, and not the customers. Even when they find criminality, no one is arrested. At no stage does the government help the customer recover money from the criminal business.

Work for govt long enough, you see this all the time. Defence is the worst. Now, defence assets do cost a lot, but the money bounced around and the "oh, default on contract/late.................. hmmmm = (nothing happens, except they get more time and money)" is astounding. But then again, everyone saw a govt say "Hmm, 25 million to put up a flagpole on a bridge??? Yep, sounds fair enough..." so you get what I am on about. Must be nice on their planet.
