Exactly, the leftist like Ketanji Brown Jackson (hired for her skin color and she is a leftist) and Sonia Sotomayor in the Supreme Court are trying to destroy the constitution. Thank God for Clarence Thomas who is the voice of reason and holds up the constitution. Idiots who watch mockingbird media and MK-ULTRA programs, basically CNN,MSNBC, ABC and FOX are brainwashed into thinking the opposite. Like the movie 1984, these people haven't a clue but they sure yell and scream like they know something nobody else does. It's crazy, these democrats is what they call themselves are crazy.

The chief Justice and the associate justices oversee the Supreme Court. America will have no citizens left if it keeps imploding in on itself the way it is. As someone who is self-employed is at the point where I pay half of my total earnings to the state and federal government just so they can pack it all up and send it straight out of the country. I’m leaving the country next year while I still can. I’ve heard rumors that they’re taking away our right to renounce soon to. I hope I’m wrong in that one.

I think this problem is a problem the world faces. The question is really: Can citizens of any nation trust any government at all? Whenever money is involved, you have corruption. This is no different across the world, just varying degrees of corruption. And institutions wonder why people don't trust them? I can't blame them with all the corruption that is rampant and so NORMALIZED, people seem to have a "no big deal" kind of attitude about it. And the US talking about supporting "Democracy" is rich. Their form of democracy is really a plutocracy. Nothing more, nothing less. Its just that they haven't bothered to tell the citizens that and let them figure it out for themselves.... Winning money from lawsuits is only great if you value money. Its far more valuable to have someone found guilty for the actual crime and not monetary outcomes. Thats just a bribe to silence.

Interesting that he interviewed only a single crusader with an axe to grind. When I was a law student, I had to read several of the mentioned cases (esp. Citizens United and Shelby) and anyone who has read those cases will know that the public narrative constructed around them is flat out wrong. Citizens United was a strait up 1st Amendment case striking down an attempt by the federal government to curtail election speech to the point that even if books came from the publisher at the wrong time, the bookstores wouldn't be able to put them on the shelf - or could put them out for a few days and then have to take them back off the shelf if the book was potentially deemed "electioning material" (i.e. most of the books written by political actors). And what constituted 'electioning material' wasn't defined but left to the administrative agencies enforcing the law to make determinations after the fact (i.e. you could comply with the law as you and your lawyers said only to be faced with thousands of dollars of fines if the administrative agency ruled against you later on). I'm just scratching the surface but read the case for yourself - don't take on face value what anyone else says about it. As for the conservative take over of the SCOTUS, that has been a work in progress since 1980. Traditionally our SCOTUS goes through generational shifts. And it is traditionally about a generation behind the public sentiment on any given hot button issue. That is why FDR tried to pack the court in 1937 - he was unhappy that the traditionalists on the SCOTUS were shooting down his New Deal plans. But over time, with retirements he was able to replace enough justices so that he could get through many of his ideas. The Court remained largely in the same mode (not striking down any act of Congress on any ground for almost 50 years) until recently. The conserivates set out in 1980 to create a pipeline of highly qualified individuals with conservative leanings that could be placed on the federal judiciary and work their way up to the SCOTUS so that they could do what FDR did and remake the Court in their image. It has been 40 years in the making and just now showing fruition. The liberals will have to do the same thing the conservatives did - work across several generations to build up a pipeline of friendly judges and then capture the White House and the Senate frequently enough to shift the Court back in their direction. What liberals are upset about is that they are now having to experience what conservatives have experienced since the 1940's.

Citizens United: Corporations are people and money is speech. It's one of the most corrupting decisions in US history, and that's why Republican politicians love it. The billionaires they worship can buy politicians with impunity. You praise a world in which a Supreme Court justice can legally be bribed and face no consequences. That's the world you want, where the money of the richest .01% steps all over the constitution. So what you're saying is we have to now endure GENERATIONS of the constant violation of our rights and civil liberties and just accept the legal affirmation of the fanatical fundamentalist agenda of a minority of Americans. They couldn't wait to strip away women's rights, and we all know gay rights are next. We know Republicans are eager to deprive their fellow Americans of liberty--they've openly stated they want to go after the right to even use contraception. They are stripping away voting rights, strike rights, rights to protect your property from unlawful searches, every right they can dismantle, and you just can't wait to give up yours. You think the majority will tolerate being ruled like kings by the tiny minority, but you're wrong. You've lost the youth, and now all you can hope to do is suppress as many votes as possible and legislate from the bench as long as possible. The world has moved on from your archaic ideas, and you just can't stand it. Once a culture has turned a page on bad ideas, rarely does it tolerate going back. Also a note, I don't think most conservative voters want these things, but the Republican party has made it clear what their agenda is, and its disgustingly undemocratic. Prescription that the Dems are (for the moment) too feckless to pursue: Expand the court by 30 seats. Let all the political operatives age out. Stuff the court with extremely qualified actual humble public servants of no strong political or factional leanings, except that they are 100% dedicated to preserving democracy, and fundamentally decent people who do not take bribes. It's telling that this is the last thing conservative decisionmakers want. They want a far right Supreme Court that does not represent the will of the public, but the will of moneyed special interests. They want an authoritarian state that punishes people who aren't them. They want a whipped, powerless American public who can only watch in horror as the rights and advances their ancestors fought and died for are systematically torn away. We can do a lot more than that. Vote religiously. Protest. Organize. Help, protect, and provide aid to people who are suffering under the most vicious rulings. Reach out to conservative voters who aren't far-right fanatics. Pressure the useless dems to pass legislation that protects women's rights among a host of other issues. And remind the Republicans that we are never going to stop, and in the long run, you have lost the people and you are never getting them back. No matter how many books you ban, no matter how many sell-outs, s* abusers, and religious fanatics you pack onto the Supreme Court, in the long run, justice will win.

Very well stated. This is typical leftist headline shockery, and the 5 minute video is just short enough to keep their attention. If this story wanted to report on corruption, it would look into the soros family money pushed at prosecutors all over the country. Or perhaps act blue's outrageous donation scam that is now coming to light.
