After the first 2 weeks, it became so much smoother to me & all in all, I’m glad I did decide to leave social media alone period. Some of my peers beg me to get back on, but once you have achieved inner peace, it doesn’t even matter. I was a social media manager and decided to leave that job bc I just didn’t want any parts with it at all. I’m pushing 30 and had no idea what I wanted to do with my life & with this clear mind, I’ve accomplished a lot. Career is even going better than I thought it would. Our mental processes are not evolved to take in so much information all at once, I agree 100%! Social Media is a fairly new information source that we may eventually evolve to handle but that won't be for a very long time and with how fast everything changes, it sort of makes one wonder if they're doing that on purpose to control the flow of info... It seems questionable enough to make you pause.. I am more than a year past quitting all social media and I can think more clearly, I am not aggravated by little things, I don't feel the need to comment on everything.. I feel more confident, more relaxed, and able to cope with stresses far better now. Yeah, social media is for the birds. I'm never going back! Awesome topic for a video. Thank you so much for posting it!

You’ll have those days afterwards where you’ll crave that sense of importance even after you quit but trust me it is only temporary and it’ll show what true emotions should feel like and confusion in your life will disappear slowly because all you’ll see is what’s in front of you. DELETED it! I wanna see what can manifest in my life without it and be clear and focused. I love being in the moment and PART of this world. The social media world is nothing like the actual world. It’s much more peaceful and authentic 😉

Great video :) I deleted all my social media ( except youtube) a few months ago, and I don't regret it. That was the best decision I've made this year :)

Absolutely, I feel a lot more present and developed better relationships when I pay attention to my surroundings, all these years it was my focus that had to improve and discovered that I was a naturally social person‼️ It’s great that you have the willpower to do that and it shows that your stronger than the urge itself 💯

I feel pretty similar to you. I have always felt anxious no matter what I am doing, for all my life so I don't know how much being off social media will help but I'll continute to limit my usage for sure. Always try and stay off my phone when in lines and all that, I think we're just being trained to stay out of our heads and focus on something more engaging (social media). People are less used to not having something to stimulate them.

Bro I’m 21 and it’s like I got that mature mindset, it ain’t like pride or anything but I be tired of seeing bs everyday and I feel like some people are just confused and do anything for attention, and we as people can be easily influenced by others, I’m tryna just be natural or normal now you feel me? Appreciate this video bro. 💯

You sound just like me man fr😂 The best thing to do is to lock in and grind and make as many relationships as you can with like minded people and I promise you won’t dread it. You definitely don’t wanna THAT guy because it can miserable if you let it get you to, but always stay mature like you are and don’t give into peer pressure. You are way ahead of the game more than you realize and it took me a while to realize this until I really started living in the real world‼️

Social media is giving too many people I don’t fool with access to hitting me up. I don’t like that but only reason I still have it is because I’m trying to be a contact creator. Maybe if only I used it for business purposes only and not when I’m just bored. I 100% get what you mean tho

You so right about it bro. I’ve been back and forth doing this. And me being a Gospel rap artist is difficult honestly, not saying I always get support because I really don’t get that much but I want to call it quits with this social media stuff overall because it can make me insecure like you said that’s the honest truth. It’s a stumbling block at times to my growth. I just love KZitem this is bout the only app I can vibe with

Good stuff bro. I got off of social media about 10 years ago when I was 28 or so. Even then, I was never into it as much as most people. With that being said, I’m so glad I’m not in that matrix. I see how it has messed up so many people’s lives. Shoot, I even think it was a big reason why I’m divorced. But don’t go back bro. It’s such a freeing feeling to not be caught up in all of that. Even if that is the main way to date now, I’ll be alright.

What being off of it made me realize is that, the whole “no women are loyal” and “red pill” talk was a collection of men who didn’t know what to do anymore, understandably, and were frustrated about the climate of finding someone they didn’t have to be paranoid about and could trust. There actually are lots of great women out there who aren’t caught up into the online culture. Even though it may seem like it, It was all an illusion of what I filled my head with the most as far as the dating game. As long as I focused on my own goals and built more relationships with women in my day to day life than usual, I realized that Instagram is a while another earth when it comes to perspective of what’s actually going on in the real world.

Yo what up bro? Awesome video you just made. And for the first time of my life, I have finally got rid of social media altogether and i gotta say that social media was like a big drug to me and it aint even funny. It was the affection of my mental health and not only that, but it was also an increased effect of anxiety and depression. It felt like a twilight zone to me. It's high time I set myself to the right and utter direction to success without looking back. The party's over for that.

I PERSONALLY appreciate what you are sharing in this video. Because I can honestly say I am at the point in my life where I am thinking about letting go of social media. I am trying to wain myself off it now. I recently deleted my Instagram account, and I have no desire to go back to it. Now, I'm dealing with tik tok and Facebook. Facebook is more of challenge because I do connect with some people that I am close with. The downside is, not all the time. I don't spend a lot of time on Facebook like I used to. However, it does take its toll on my life in more ways than one. Therefore, especially after listening to you, I am thinking about letting go of the other social media platforms. I like what you said about "living in the moment". I notice, as long as I am off of social media, the less complex my life is. So, you have given me something to think about. Thank you for sharing your personal journey.

Thanks for sharing your story man. I own a video production business so I feel like I need to have a presence on IG and FB. Lately social has been really impacting my mental health. Comparing my life’s journey to my peers. I haven’t deleted but I’ve taken a 1 week break and my well being is significantly better. With my business I do want to have a presence… but I think I just want to check in every 2 to 3 weeks and update with what my business has been up to. I’m using it strictly as a business tool. No scrolling, no liking, no watching people’s stories.

It’s small steps at a time so you’re doing just fine. And you made the right the decision by not watching other people, liking, etc. I know some people hire social media managers, like high schoolers who want to make a little extra money weekly, so that would be a good idea if you have the extra money. It would take a weight off your back❗️

I proacsinated so much dreams in my life after social media my mental health got worse and putten so much expectations in my relationships and everything. Now having only a business account will be my only access I don’t follow any of friends or family feels like I took a big step as a social person but I can see so much progression on my work as freelance and the way i think you’re absolutely RIGHT!

it's been a year and one month since i deleted all my social media and i'm way better, working in my real life, mental health and i'm miles better and improved compared to when i as in social media where heres a lot of competition, people know better thank everyone, they think they know about your life, fake lifestyles, fake friends and so much toxic and more of an ANTI-SOCIAL MEDIA than SOCIAL MEDIA. if someone there tryng to work on real life thats the way to go!!! trust in God don't be afraid to be out of the ''normal life path'' young people been in, it feels like you're not normal but later y'all will see and understand that we never alone , God is with us and we get to do a better time management, doing healty stuff rather than sit all day on instagram or whatever social media platforms.... Nowadays social-media only makes sense to run business, to promote and get more people to see and buy ur product and services... So DELETE SOCIAL MEDIA AND YOU WILL NEVER REGRET. Good video brother!!

I was lucky enough to grow up without social media went through high school without it and all that, I’m 39 a FB came out when I got into college. You young people gotta delete social media and enjoy your life before it’s too late. You will regret not deleting social media. Do yourself a favor a get rid of that shit. Social media makes you censor yourself and not be your true self and you all don’t even know it.

It truly is exhausting and the hidden source of so many problems are generation faces. I have a love hate relationship with it. Love how effective it is for my business and I enjoying sharing content. If neither of these was the case, I’d do away with it all together. Maybe one day. From the breaks I do take often from it, the calmness, focus, and clarity truly is unmatched.

@SlimandChill Thanks bro for sharing your story… You’re such an inspiration to me & so many others … I recently just deleted my social media. I had this talk with my Mom & therapist last week. An that is our generation tends to think that if I’m not where this person is in their life that I’m not worth it or valuable… Not to mention social media can be very addictive.
