Thanks for sharing your story! I am scheduled for my permanent colectomy surgery this coming April 10th, and I'm trying to prepare myself as much as I can emotionally and physically. Videos like this help.

I have had my ostomy for almost one year to date. It was emergency surgery that I totally was not expecting. My doctors & even ostomy nurses told me very little. I struggled for most of this year until I discovered all of the great You Tube videos like yours that helped me not feel alone & more educated with lifestyle tips. Thank you for sharing your story.

Thank you for your honest experience. I’m almost a year and it’s still a steep learning curve and it’s good to know it’s not just me that took time to adjust. You’re right, you tube is the best tutor in this. I’ve had a string of silly complications so I’m still not back to exercising which is driving me crazy! Hopefully soon.

Hang in there! Time will show you the way. Eventually you will feel like it’s second nature. Definitely a process though. Glad to help in any way I can. I’m on Instagram too where I share my thoughts and daily struggles/wins too. (Same handle) keep up the good work!!

Thank you for making these videos. I have had a colostomy since October 2020 an research was limited. I also irrigate and love the idea of trying the men's urinal in the shower. Thanks again.

Can you go to beach and swim in the sea with ostomy ? Is there any thing to put on while swimming?
