They failed to always remembered the greatest commandment i.e Thou shalt love the Lord God with all your hearts and soul... Their hearts were more into the city, its Kings N its Glory than in God🙏

@@spacewiz163 If I understand your question the 12 tribes were scattered in different regions within ancient Israel. One of the reasons King David chose Jerusalem as the capital of Israel was because of its geographic neutral location near the center of the kingdom.

Lets never forget that this is still a miserable tale of war. This is part of the tragedy of human history. David is literally fighting his own cousins. All of the people outside of the house of David are still children of God. So yes it's a triumph for that hopeful ember of oneness with God when the earth was teeming with demigods, but war is never sweet
