I used to be a Drake fan for like his first 3-4 albums. Kendrick is a great lyricist, though some of his music is not for me. Drake is a pop/R&B artist. The problem is that Drake tries to act like he is about "that life", but it is just not believable. Eminem is full white, but he doesn't lie about his life. Eminem has some haters, but overall, he has been hip-hop certified. Drake will never have the respect of real hip-hop fans. He is like a music politician who plays every side for votes.

The verse at the very beginning about mathematics is layered. A degenerate is an immoral or corrupt person. But, in mathematics, degeneracy is a class where an object becomes increasingly simpler than the rest of the objects in the same class. It's a layered diss. Also, here's the thing about the opening verse about pacifying an audience. He's layering an entendre about the consistent grooming allegations that follow Drake because he dates very, very young women. This theme is repeated several times in the following verses including, most immediatley, the 500k open case referencing Drake paying a young woman off to close a sexual assault case. This, to me, is one of the most vicious diss tracks since Ether. Because he's attacking everything about Drake's identity and how fragile it appears to be. Pusha T had the craziest reveal in a track ever (I mean, how often do you reveal someone had a kid that most of pop culture didn't know about) in a diss. But bar for bar this entire track is fucking brutal.

Kendrick flows in this: His own Lil Wayne DMX twice 2Pac those are the ones I could pick up And you said sounds like Nicki as well. He even mockingly changed his accent to british, canadian, and one other to pronounce Crodie since Drake says it has to be pronounced in a whiny voice

Complete Timeline of Kendrick Lamar Vs Drake Beef etc. (With Links to Diss Tracks) Timeline of Events (Key Moments Only) It has to be graciously noted that this is indeed not a "complete timeline". As I’d have to cover alot of ground. Instead, this is more of a "key moments" summary, and is intended for folks completely out of the loop. This is their starting point that has lead to everything: **2011**: Kendrick features on Drake's *Take Care* album, "[Buried Alive Interlude](kzitem.info/news/bejne/zH2FnJVmjWmXa6w)." Initial tension hinted in the lyrics. **2013**: Kendrick ignites the feud with his "[Control](kzitem.info/news/bejne/2aucsHyZa3eVdXY)" verse, directly calling out Drake among others. **2013 BET Awards**: Kendrick [disses Drake during a cypher](kzitem.info/news/bejne/unmQzK54mmehnnY), adding fuel to the fire. **Oct 6, 2023**: Drake releases "[First Person Shooter](kzitem.info/news/bejne/1IipmKNpb5NiiKg)" on his *For All the Dogs* album, praising his and his peers' status, which Kendrick doesn't appreciate. **March 22, 2024**: Kendrick responds sharply in "[Like That](kzitem.info/news/bejne/s6hnqZiiomefeG0)" from Future and Metro Boomin's *We Don’t Trust You*, distancing himself from the "Big Three" of rap which includes Drake, leading to escalated tensions. **April 5, 2024**: J. Cole releases "[7 Minute Drill](kzitem.info/news/bejne/lY-hx5prpZl5lWU)" on his *Might Delete Later* album, which critiques Kendrick's discography but later retracts the diss and apologizes at his Dreamville Festival, reflecting on his statement. **April 12, 2024**: Future and Metro Boomin drop [We Still Don’t Trust You](kzitem.info/news/bejne/wKOJv4VnpJOVjJw), featuring tracks from ASAP Rocky and the Weeknd with veiled disses towards Drake, indicating a broadening conflict. **April 13, 2024:** Drake responds with "[Push Ups (Drop and Give Me 50)](kzitem.info/news/bejne/woOonWSKgWtiY2U)," targeting Kendrick, Future, the Weeknd, J. Cole, Rick Ross, and others in a comprehensive diss track. The track was originally leaked on Saturday, April 13th with many questioning whether it was AI-generated. The official release came out on April 19, 2024. **April 13, 2024:** Ross releases '[Champagne Moments](kzitem.info/news/bejne/0H5mmaarknhpo2U)' to DJ Akademiks, who [quickly featured it on his stream](twitter.com/Akademiks/status/1779287691164573784), emphasizing Ross's rapid response to Drake's leaked 'Push Ups (Drop & Give Me 50).' In the track, Ross mocks Drake for alleged ghostwriting, references supposed cosmetic surgery, and criticizes Drake’s identity and authenticity. He also suggests a deeper betrayal in their relationship by touching on both professional and personal backstories. **April 19, 2024:** Drake releases '[Taylor Made](kzitem.info/news/bejne/15yuzKucZol_hJw),' a diss track featuring AI-generated vocals of Tupac Shakur and Snoop Dogg, aimed at Kendrick Lamar. Shakur's verse criticizes Drake while encouraging Lamar, and Snoop Dogg chides Lamar for his slow response. Drake suggests Lamar's delay is to avoid clashing with Taylor Swift's album release. Following a cease-and-desist from Shakur's estate, which condemned the use of his likeness, Drake removed the song from all platforms. Kanye directly confronts Drake, critiquing his major label deals and the perceived lack of agency over his music, with pointed lyrics about industry control. He also takes a jab at J. Cole, critiquing his influence and appeal. To promote the remix, Kanye shared a [provocative meme] aimed at diminishing J. Cole’s fanbase. This remix not only escalates the feud but also revives Kanye's personal and professional animosities toward Drake, reflecting their complicated history. Kanye's involvement hints at deeper alliances and tensions within the rap industry, suggesting the feud may continue to unfold. (www.rollingstone.com/music/music-news/kanye-west-drake-beef-like-that-remix-1235008129/) **April 30, 2024:** Kendrick Lamar releases '[Euphoria](kzitem.info/news/bejne/r4anqn2tkH-lq5w),' a brutal diss track targeting Drake. The song directly addresses Drake's early acting career and presents him as deceitful and manipulative. Kendrick criticizes Drake for exploiting cultural features for personal gain and questions the authenticity of his narratives. The track also indirectly comments on Drake's familial relationships, suggesting that he lacks a genuine understanding of parental responsibilities. Kendrick's lyrics reflect a deep-seated disillusionment with Drake's public persona, contributing to a highly personal edge to their ongoing beef.✍🏽🎯💯
