Mud fossils from a mud flood makes more sense. All the factors are naturally there. Not just randomly pop up, like dying in the right spot, being covered with mud and other material quickly enough. And you need enough concentrated rainfall in that area to make mud that will happen to cover the eventual fossil. Personally I’m still waiting to see a small mud deposit randomly pop up after heavy rainfall all the ones I’ve ever seen you can’t even stick a fingernail in let alone a skeleton. You gotta get really lucky for the right conditions with this explanation for a fossil to form. I know this video didn’t go super into detail but mud floods make more sense to me personally

@@etherico3041 they didn't change it. And Sumer was ruled by Nimrod. Nimrod was a descendant of Noah. So of course Sumeria and Mesopotamia have the same story. They didn't make it up. They got it from their ancestors which was Noah and his three sons. They jus changed it to favor their gods, the fallen angels. But that doesn't change the fact that almost all the ancient cultures INCLUDING THE HEBREWS had a world wide flood story and Noah is in them all. His name even sounds similar in some other languages. So if he existed, then the biblical story would be the original and Nimrods (Sumeria) a copy. None of those writings claim to come from him directly except the Bible and the book of 1 Enoch. It's literally been proven that the Bible wasn't copying anything else. It's its own unique story.
@etherico3041

@@K1NG_D0ME I agree with you for the most part except two main points you said. The story of the Bible is all over the walls of Khem/Egypt. There’s so many allegories and connections to other beliefs and the universe. Since that’s the case it’s not all that unique. It’s definitely not original there’s a reason there’s over 40k Christian denominations. You made a very illogical point. The organic calcium that makes up bones has been mineralized in fossils (replaced by silica or carbon most commonly). However, recent research by Dr. Alida M. Bailleul has shown that it is possible to abstract dna from fossils, as her and her team were able to do with a Hypacrosaurus stebingeri specimen from the Cretaceous.

@NaturalHistoryMuseum

Hello Jason, most of the fossils in the rock get eroded and lost. As for the skeletons, it's likely that over thousands or millions of years, enough water and sediment gets into the bones to turn them into stone. Find out more here www.nhm.ac.uk/discover/how-are-fossils-formed.html

Most fossils that have ever existed are in fact, not "still there" for the reason you stated. The ones we find are ones that happen to have been very lucky in having never been exposed to the surface (or just recently) despite shifting tectonics and surface erosion.
