The poet here expresses her love for her beloved Robert Browning in many ways.
The intensity of passion which is shown in this poem for the poet's beloved is unique. E.B. 'How do I love thee ' is number fourty-three of the sequence.
Actually, she composed this poem from her personal experience i.e. her intensity of passion for him.She starts the poem with a question to herself about how she loves her husband Robert Browning. And then she herself gives the answers in various ways. She expresses her intensity of love in many ways. She compares her intensity of love to the whole universe. She claims that her love is as large as the universe.
The range of her love is as vast as her soul can reach.__
"I love thee to the depth and breadth and highet
My soul can reach"
