thank you for making these videos and sharing such valuable information! this clarification is probably silly but i want to be super clear -- i have the 1mg pen (4 doses/3ml). my desired dose is 0.25mg. does this mean one pen will provide 4 doses of 0.25mg or 16 doses of 0.25mg?
@Endo-Diabetes-Simplified
6 ай бұрын
Correct... the 1mg pen is able to deliver 16 weekly doses of 0.25mg ... of course you need to ensure cold chain is maintained for your pen and fluid is clear colorless... and you get supervision of your endocrinologist for dose titration ... this means pen may finish before 16 doses of you are increasing dose at 4 weeks

i started on the 0.25 pen and after four weeks the plunger is not down the window with AT LEAST 40% of the liquid left. does this mean i missed doses? when the pen is empty will the plunger be all the way down on the 0.25 pen or only halfway down?
@arminaaratan4319

There are still remaining 2 doses of .5mg after your 4 dose of .25mg on the pen.
@Sultan-ff4fi

so all the pens contain the same liquid with the the same dosage potency but different filling amounts? so if i couldn't find a 0.5 pen i can use the 0.25 twice? shouldn't the dial be labeled with mll instead of mg? thanks for the video!
@Endo-Diabetes-Simplified

The dial is labelled with mg because that's how dosage is given Yes two shots of 0.25 mg will equate 0.5mg

I have a patient who is experiencing nausea with the 0.25 mg dose. I would like to recommend she try 0.125 mg instead. How many clicks would that be on the 0.25 mg pen?
@Endo-Diabetes-Simplified
Ай бұрын
@PositiveShiftNutrition it's usually 9 clicks that deliver 0.125mg. My suggestion would be to try injecting only when symptoms settled and spread over every 2 weeks if too much nausea. Smaller food portion with more fibre and fluid, slow eating habits plus use ondansetron 4 to 8mg every 8 hours for nausea. If still nauseated then avoid the drug. Ensure endocrinologist supervision is sought to exclude other pathologies

I used my 0,25 pen 4 times and it is still half full. looks like I can just continue with it. I am very careful and use marker on the pen, not clicks, so there is no mistake from my side.

Remeber to check that you are using the correct pen device. If you are using the 0.25 mg pen device then it should have been finished after 4 doses. Sometimes patients not done the test dose and hence can see the four test doses left at the end but it should not be half of the pen. It is very small quantity, not even a full dose. Please ensure that you have the correct authentic pen device of Ozempic prescribed from your doctor and bought from correct pharmacy. There are fake versions being sold on black market. Kindly be careful as there have been cases where insulin was in the fake pen devices. If your pen is correct version then all four doses of 0.25 mg should finish the pen completely unless you are using 0.5 mg pen device. Please check

At least in some parts Europe the 0.25 mg pen includes a total of 2 mg of Semaglutide in 1.5 ml of liquid. One dose is is 0.25 mg in 0.19 ml of liquid. After 4 doses you’ve only used 1 mg and 0,76 ml. So it is true that there’s plenty of left. They are still telling us to discard of the pen after 4 doses and start using the 0.5 mg pen which actually also has 2 mg of semaglutide (4 doses). I purchased extra needles to use the rest of the 0.25 mg pen. But everyone decides for themselves.
@@Purple_Box thank you for this info. But do they not give you 8 needles then

kzitem.info/news/bejne/0KBo2a2BgYWGnpgsi=MybBXurJSV5AAHMs This might be helpful.... You can count clicks for left over dose and if its less than 18 clicks, it means its leftover test dose of air shots... If you are counting above 18 clicks then the left over is about 0.25 mg which is considered at least a low dose... but this should not be the case after proper use of pen device

Dr. I have a question. My desire dosis is 0.25mg. I know a pen of 0.5mg has 4 dosis on it. However, if I am only doing 0.25mg per week, does this mean I have 8 dosis in total or only 4 dosis? I am so confused because I know a 1mg pen would have 16 dosis of 0.25mg, so I would think half of it (0.5mg) it would have also half of the dosage, so 8. I really need to know which one should get. Thank you 🙏

@vivianvalencia7867 if you are only on 0.25mg then the cheapest option would be using 0.25mg pen as it will give you 8 doses. Watch the video below for clarity kzitem.info/news/bejne/sbChz6yon5WUd3o

@@Endo-Diabetes-Simplified Thank you Dr. The only problem is that in Colombia they only have pens of 0.5mg or 1mg. That is why I was wondering if the 0.5mg pen would give me 8 dosis of 0.25mg or less since I know the 1mg pen has 16 dosis of it. Please help 🙏 also thanks for your quick response.
