As you get older, your skin naturally becomes less elastic and more fragile. Decreased production of natural oils dries your skin and makes it appear more wrinkled.

@@karissazhuu if that is true then why do people from hot countries with literally no cold weather appear younger then people who live in countries that are dominantly no sun and cold?
@matthewbelike
3 жыл бұрын
@@babeena_gt_3645 Because white people dominate colder countries and white people have less melanin to absorb UV radiation that causes photo-aging. The sun is responsible for 90% of cosmetic aging (wrinkles, dark spots, sagging, etc). People in warmer climates tend to be a race other than white, so therefore their skin can naturally handle the sun better. Anyways it doesn’t matter what race you are because if your white, or any other race, you can always wear sunscreen to negate the degrading effects of UV radiation. Also, in colder countries don’t forget that during the summer the sun never sets.

Muscle/skin relationship is only one of the contributors to wrinkles. Skin thickness and changes in collagen with age also play a role.

@@theanatomylab so if we were to keep our collagen up along with a healthy diet and exercise could we perhaps experience less wrinkles?
@theanatomylab
3 жыл бұрын
@@bikelanez7376 There are a lot of things that can go into it... But generally getting all the nutrients you need is a plus. Collagen will be built as long as you get all of the amino acids in your diet. Sun damage does not help, so reducing that risk is another contributor. And as always... genetics plays a role.
