T12, L1 burst fracture fused from T11 to L2 (called a T10 complete but I feel my bones in my legs aching all the time) legs and bottom hurt and burn all the time. I stopped taking lyrica, baclofin, gabepentin, Percocet, I then opted to only use Cannabis. I make it into edible from (cannabis coconut oil) and take 1 ml 3-4 times daily. It helps me but unfortunately does not take it away entirely, but the prescriptions didn’t either. My neurosurgeon and general practitioner are on board and monitoring my treatment. My body is used to the Cannabis now and I don’t get all whacked out like I did on narcotics. The way I use cannabis an ounce lasts me nearly two months. Again, it helps me more than anything else, I’m just one case. Stay strong, being paralyzed is a b***.

Th7 with same nerve pain in same place I use back brace and it prevents contact to skin you options are limited either drugs or cannibis or a corset the squeezing of the corset helps I think it's the pressure it also helps with stability

I've also thought about getting some type of stretchy band that could wrap around my core area. i think that would help.

I currently taking lyrica at night. Also, just had a procedure done called radiofrequency ablation to burn the nerves at the spinal cord. I'm only a couple of weeks out from that, and it could take a month or so to get the full effects from it.

Hey there brother I'm a c5 c6 complete quadriplegic and let me tell you nerve pain freaking sucks man! I been a quadriplegic for a little over 6 years and been having nerve pain for almost the whole time I tried everything from Gabapentin, Cymbalta, Lyrica, a couple antidepressants that didn't help. I'm also on methadone and hydromorphone now for the nerve pain and all they do is pretty much make me sleepy and tierd. To much the situation more F'd up I have the nerve pain in my buttocks and mid section like around my private area. So since the nerve pain is around my butt it makes it super painful when I'm in my wheelchair and am constantly doing weight shifts to get pressure off my ass because it hurts so damn much, So I'm not active as much as I want to be because the nerve pain keeps me down and in bed 😔. Nerve pain is the devil man. If anybody else's going through this? If someone comes across this and has any idea what can help please let me know.

Im a c5-6 incomplete for almost 6yrs. I have problems with spasticity. Specifically chronic muscle tightness. Some days are worse than others. The spasticity causes pain which feels like nuclear grade icy-hot from mid chest down or like ice got jalapeno juice coursing thru my body. That's the best I can describe it. My pain I feel is related to spasticity because the tighter my muscle get the worse the pain. The trick is finding what's causing the spasticity. I think its my body's way of reacting to something not SCI related. The trick is diagnosing when you don't have normal able bodied symptoms.

Below the knees and in the feet. Feels like roadrash/carpet burn. I was on Lyrica for a while but my liver can't handle it. I can't wear jeans and different fabrics set it off. I tried cbd oil but it didn't help enough. I've had severe Anxiety all my life and when I do have episodes it makes the sensation 5 times worse. I've yet to find a really good method for Killing the pain.

Did Lyrica help your pain at all? Was it a Narcotic?

Lyrica is a pain to get. Controlled substance and all but if you get it and don't worry about the horrible side effects, it'll bring your pain down by about 60-70 percent. It is advertised to treat diabetic nerve pain.

I know I’m really late to the party. I am a L1-4/5 incomplete. My pain mgmt doc suggested Ketamine infusions for the pain. I’ve done it now almost 10 times it think. I just come in every couple of months when I notice the pain getting bad again and spend a few hours getting the infusion slowly then my husband drives me home (you are out of it a bit after the infusion). The experience is pretty trippy while you are getting it, but as soon as you’re done there’s no weird feeling just tired. I go home and sleep the rest of the day. After that I get weeks of feeling better and having way more energy. My nerve pain is greatly reduced (it’s still there a little bit). I’m able to do more without the pain, and you just feel much better all around, it’s really worth a try. God bless and thank you for sharing your story. 🙂

15 years post cervical sci - I'm limited walking but the neuropathic pain is severe and widespread and that is the most debilitating thing for me. I use electric heat pads, cold packs (with very soft covers), meditation, acupuncture and little dermal acupuncture patches I can use on myself, I also practice Alexander Technique which helps undo muscle tension and give the nerves some alternative action, as well as a TENS machine (can't use it so much now as I'm allergic to the pads but might be helpful for others?). I wear compression socks for peripheral neuropathy which surprisingly helps a lot considering I can;t bear anything touching my feet usually. The pressure is the key - so may be worth investigating for your torso? Sending strength to all of you who are dealing with this xxx

For my hypersensitive area, about the same area as yours just a little lower, I wear an Under Armor compression shirt under a t-shirt or at the office under dress shirts. For me, if the skin touch is not light but is firmer, it does not seem to bother me as much. The drugs would just turn me into a zombie and make me feel worse. Sometimes I go without a shirt as well in the car or at home. In any case, that's how I handle it.
