I've seen Archspire, Dying Fetus, Converge, Organectomy, Sanguisugabogg, Aborted, Revocation, Atheist and Cryptopsy + their openers and then some local bands as well. And if you want to count deathcore, Slaughter to Prevail and Carnifex as well. Suffocation, Archspire, Cryptopsy and Organectomy by far the best imo. But the vibe and stage presence from Suffocation is just unmatched. So incredible.

Yeah, Ben was on top of things. Their entire sound changed from Louder Than Love to Badmotorfinger and a lot of that is Ben's doing. I did like their original bassist too though, but when Ben joined they became a tighter band and were more musically complex. ☮️

Low is better! I met Carol Kaye at NAMM and later took a couple of personal lessons. She said I was playing with the wrong height on my strap and I asked if I was supposed to look like I play with The Ramones and she said yes! I can play longer than before with less fatigue. Thanks Carol!!!

It's part of his sound, I do a similar thing with my guitar for some songs but I rest mine on a heavy barstool instead of the ground. When your guitar or bass is resting against a solid object it changes the resonance of the instrument, when I do that with one of my Flying V's the notes ring forever almost like a sustainor pickup and with one of my Jacksons it makes the low end almost sound like an 8 string.
